(Hmm…planning a nap takes considerable thought…)
Maybe taking care of the essentials, the most diffiucult part of a job or problem means that the rest of the puzzle will resolve itself.
How do you butter your toast? Okay, okay, whatever you use on toast…
Voila, my personal spark for today is that when you prepare to snooze, you first put your back paws on someone’s leg, which leaves that someone unable to move easily, thereby creating a perfect situation for a very long and restorative NAP.
I think your Spark Loulou, is purrfect. Definitely a good way to take a nap.
Oh, Ernie, you understand my philosophy so well, all the time!
Oh boy….my Mom is a butter-nut (sounds like a cookie or something!)….she loves the stuff but shouldn’t have as much of it as she likes to. Anyway, I like to take my daytime naps far away from human interference (or noise) but at night I hop up on Mom’s side of the bed and want her to give me pets and settle down for a little while trapping her arm under my big head and keeping her from going back to sleep. Just a little trick I enjoy putting her through at night….but she doesn’t complain – Moms are like that!
Hugs, Teddy
Sounds as if you have your mama well trained, Mr Teddy. And suggest to your mama that butter-nut SQUASH is awfully good, too. Roasted in the oven with olive oil and salt and pepper and then squeeze a bit of lemon over it before eating. You can get it all chopped into pieces almost everywhere as working with the squash itself it not that easy. If you have a piece of one, just cut it into pieces and roast them for 30 minutes – they will peel easily and then it’s ready for recipes.
Oh YES – my Mom and Dad both love butternut squash. I’m gonna suggest they try lemon – they butter, salt and pepper but never tried lemon! YUM.
Thanks Miss Suzanne – you’re awesome!
Hugs, Teddy
Awww…mama is blushing. It’s not every day a handsome ginger kitty tells her that! But mama says you are pretty awesome yourself. Mama is stuffing the chickie right now with her mama’s cornbread stuffing and I have my eye on that chickie’s front part!
Smart papa, Loulou and so are you for “your keep my human where I want them trick.” Enjoy your snooze.
Merci, Miliza, mama’s leg does not move during a Netflix movie so that’s a good time for me to snooze against it.
We love to butter our toast edge to edge to edge – the more the better. But Papa’s Mama had good advice too !
Our huMom’s Papa was taught that unless he ate al the pie crust he could not have a piece of pie next time, so he always ate the back crust first…so our Mama does that too.
LOVE that. But mama has to say that the pie crust was always so yummy because mama’s mama and mama herself made great light crispy crust.
Nice spark and great advice. You are such a sweetie. XO
Pehaps we could break toast together one day, haha.
Loulou, making yourself comfortable is your most impawtant job!
How did you KNOW that? And yours, too, Eastside kitties.
oh my cod!!! let me tell yoo, dee mum luvz budder!!! she sez she subscribez to dee julia childs school ov thot on budder!! sumtimes dee mum will put peenut budder on her toast. or sumtimes maybe sum fresh ricotta, or avocado and tomatoez. hey, i got unner dee coverz early lass nite cuz it iz cold, cold, cold and i slept next to dee mum almost all nite.
OH, your mum and my mum eat the same way!!! Mama puts peanut butt on celery sticks, too. And hummus on toast and now we are getting carasau, a very thin, crispy cracker from Sardinia that you can get on Amazon or in your local Italian purveyor and they are ADDICTING. Now mama is cooking the strawberries from our strawberry tree, no sugar, just mushy like jam and eating them on carasau. SOOO good. No calories either and strawberries from the tree are an antioxidant, stomach protector and anti-inflammatory. Who knew?
oh yes, hummas on toast is berry good!! our naybor haz a strawberry tree in her front yard but she iz not a berry adventorus eater.
Well, tell her that they have 3 x the Vitamin C in an orange, anti-inflammatory powers along with help for delicate tummies. Mama uses no sugar when she cooks them for just a few minutes and whisks them a bit to make a jam. She says she has more energy, too.
i think my mum will raid the tree win she leavez fur bacashun
Wait a minute. Some days we are just not with it, haha. Bacashun????
LOL, LouLou, yu know how to take advantage of your humans!!
Yes, sometimes we do worry TOO much about the small stuff…
And I love butter on my toast…and other things, too….hey, now I want some!
ME, TOO! Even the word can make our mouths water…papa puts a bit of butter on a little piece of parmesan…talk about decadent. Whatever that is.
