That kitty better watch out or I’ll eat her COMPUTER CABLE!!! She’ll be one ticked off blogger…
Oh, boy am I in deep doo-doo, excuse my French, haha. I don’t normally say that but this time, well, I’m in a bit of trouble. When mama and papa re-did this house, they found a beautiful extra space in the form of a little unfinished, raw, storage place with one wall of rock and a nice temperature to boot. They paved a little walkway into the cave (as it is called here in France) and put their wine and mama’s vinegar mother and extra bottles of this and that on shelving where it is off the floor and rests until drinking.
But along with the convenience of the space comes a new concern: mice!!! When the TV and the internet went out, the repairman rooted around and came up with cables that had been chewed in half. This has happened twice! You would think there would be someone around this house who could catch a MOUSE, no?
Well, guess who didn’t.
And guess what mouse died in the cave and deteriorated while mama and papa and I were out of town and guess what mouse stank to high heaven when we returned and guess whose mama had to clean out the cave and disinfect all the area where the dumb little mouse decided to clock out and go to the great cheese shop in the sky?
One guess.
So I’m sort of what you might call in the dog house right now. But I’m coping with that as you can see below.
You don’t think I’m in this tuxedo to catch MICE, do you? Think again…
PS – We forgot to mention how sorry we are for your poor mom having to clean up after the nasty that mouse dared to die without permission!
Fortunately, I never learned how to put mouse pieces back together…lucky me!
Oh, Loulou, we can tell this is really weighing heavily on your mind. We are so sorry you are reduced to sleeping to try to avoid thinking of the shame of not catching a now-dead mouse. We hope you will find a way to cope with all the guilt and return to the carefree kitty you once were. 🙂
Well, it was a tough job, but somebody had to do it. Sleeping, I mean…
After a couple of nightmares about giant mice invading my sleeping area, I went back to “carefree”.
Glad you have taken the sensible option of sleeping throughout the mousie related shenanigans Loulou. That little cave sounds like a wonderfully cool place to snooze when the sun is fierce, maybe that’s what the mousie was doing?
Luff
Mungo
Mungo, you always have such good insights! Of course, that’s why he (she?) was there–a cool snooze, after having eaten the plastic bottle caps off the mineral water and munched on a few cardboard boxes for dessert. Weird, those rodents.
