So much ancient creativity in this warring world…I’m worn out from seeing so much beauty.
Well, with these northern lights decorating the skies, we are hoping they will not affect other areas – communications and so on.
I guess I am thinking about the wonders of our universe and planet and feel we must have respect for what it can do.
The universe is always conspiring to help us, if we only trust its wisdom – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Oh, how we wish that those in power would trust the universe, which we believe wants us to live with one another in peace. Okay, okay, that’s pretty simplistic, whatever that is, but seriously, folks, look at the HUGE effort and expense it takes to throw a WAR and wipe out thousands of anthros in a few miliseconds!
But today, I’m leaving this thought for my poubelle/my giant virtual garbage can!
The morning is too sweet as I soar over Rome and see what incredible beauty was created by anthros, who chose marble and magnificence over marauding! At least a few did…
Michelangelo, for one. Bernini, Caravaggio, need I list more?
The Sistine Chapel art of Michelangelo
This little elephant is close to where we stay in Rome. It may have been done by Bernini’s assistant, but do we care? He certainly must have overseen the work!!
The Lute Player
It has been many years since I visited Rome, thank you for some reminders of its beauty.
Yes, it costs too much to war. All of that could be spent on taking care of everyone and the trees and animals and oceans, too.
So true. So why aren’t WE running things??????
Fabulous art, what great fun to be there and see it! And the aurora was marvelous. We didn’t see it, but did see so many photos from our general area from those who did. I saw posts from weather and news sites that said it was refreshing to have several days of comments centered on the night skies and devoid of political strife! We hope for peace, always.
Merci, Leah, we got the message and merci. Yes, the skies can give us beauty to take away thought os all the baaaad going on. It never used to feel this way, mama says, but then, there were no cell phones, etc.
That’s not to say we shouldn’t have political discussions, only that the conflict can be wearing, and difficult to resolve pleasantly in written form.
Ah…vous avez raison, you are so right. The overview (which I literaly have now, haha) sometimes gets the best of me. I’m frustrated by being unable to change the idiatic ways of (mostly) men! Mama, too, says I must stick to uplifting observations.
Rome is one of my favourite cities, Loulou. Your mama is so lucky to be roaming around there.
Well, she feels lucky, that’s for sure, but oh, the packs of tourists, blocking streets, really not fun at all these days. She has to get up early to do things.
Special post Miss Loulou! The world is a beautiful place and if humankind could ACT more beautifully it would be just about perfect. Mom and Dad will never EVER forget the Sistine Chapel when they visited during their honeymoon….the sights, sounds, and FEELINGS there were unforgettable – just like YOU are unforgettable!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, merci, Mr. Teddy, and what a grand honeymoon in Italy they must have had. From what you tell me, they are on honeymoon in LIFE!
LOL…..they did love Rome and Venice then went on to Lucerne, Paris and London. They may be old now but they are young at heart! Hugs, Teddy
Ah….Paree, London, love those amazing cities although mama only took me to Italy. Still, I can go wherever I wish now, yay yay.
Lovely art! I especially love the last one with the Lute Player. And when she’s done with that, she’ll use the fiddle…er, violin!
I used to play violin many years ago…played in an ametuer orchestra for a while, that was fun.
The northern lights were here, too, but the best night I didn’t realize, the next night I forgot, and now its too cloudy…oh well, all the pictures from this region were amazing!

OH, WOW, those were amazing and merci for the site. And how we wish you would take up your violin again! Make a little video, please for the doggies and let us enjoy it!!!!
LOL! I wish!!
I have not played in almost thirty years…and likely the strings need replacing, and also the hair on the bow…now also my fingers are a bit crooked with arthritis and also in my neck…nah, I wish I could, but all can do now is scrape out a little hymn or folksong…and who knows if the notes will have the correct tone, since with a violin, one needs to place the fingers exactly where they have to be. No frets like on a guitar.
Oh, so sorry for the hand thing. Mama has some of that, too, but so sorry that you have to give up your music and hey, a little hymn or folksong is great, too!! Your music is always in your bones.
That is beautiful, I’d love to see The Sistine Chapel.
Oui, it is quite overwhelming…and he did it all on his back! To get in now you have to reserve for sure and then there are long tourist lines and it’s hot here. So it goes…thank heaven for google and virtual tours, haha.
We enjoyed the trip to Rome, and are wondering what the story is behind the elephant . Certainly not a tribute to Hannibal.
I will post it in my blog as mama told me the story and it’s really funny! If true….
Beautiful photos. How blessed your folks are to see this in person. XO
Oui, Ms E, it is a blessing and they loved Italy from a very young age and both did everthing they could to get there long ago. Papa married an Italian lady and mama traveled very young with her best friend and then they met and started going back together as Italy was the only place they wanted to be.
Such wisdom little LouLou – I’ve never understood how war is the first option for us anthros … it doesn’t make any sense.
As long as there is art, music and kitties us peace-loving anthros can make it through.
Oh, we believe that, too, which is all we can do. Believe.
Great art is a balm for the anthro soul, Celestial Loulou.
Mother Nature’s art is even more so.
Oui, Mother Nature is a true artist! If only we would not destory her works…
A most beautiful post and the most beautiful is Loulou.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to Loulou. ♥
Merci, and thank YOU for your inspiring Mondays. We love them and laugh at so many.
Loulou, we wanted to let you know that you are not anonymous when you post on our blog. Your name comes up in all its glory! So don’t worry!
Lovely pictures and thoughts today.
Purrs,
The Chans
But it comes up only because I click on ‘anonymous’ and have the choice to fill in my Loulou info instead of being anonymous! My name is not in the comments section. Anonymous is my only choice unless I change it, which I do.
