We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.
Well, mama loved this and thought it was important if warring countries are ever going to get together and make peace.
There is a magnificent group called Parents Circle who are Israelies and Palestinians who have lost friends and family to the war and the stories are very moving.
Moving toward peace.
Have a listening Monday…
It takes ‘ears to build peace.
We pray for peace, and for listening ears.
We do too, daily.
Absolutely, Loulou. I am for peace all the way.
If only. Hamas wants a cease-fire and N…the man who shall not be named…is still in warmonger state! He is unmanageable and crazy and wants to stay out of prison, which is where he is headed if he is ousted.
It would be wonderful if peace is close but we think it takes a lot more than wishing for it to happen….until peace is TRULY wanted by all sides, it seems it will remain elusive….which is totally SAD. We still live in hope though – “Hope springs eternal”.
Hugs, Teddy (and Pam)
Oui, Teddy, we hope daily, pretty much all day long! This world is being damaged too much lately.
Ears to good ideas that are few and far between these days!
Oui, listening so often pays off for everyone.
I do love those pictures of you, Loulou! The first is so bright-eyed, the other so delightfully playful! I think the group you mentioned is a very positive step towards resolution of conflicts. I feel talking together, listening, hopefully becoming friends, is a way forward towards settling conflicts and stopping wars worldwide. (Sometimes I have a hard time commenting here, just so you know if I don’t show up or, two comments from me show up. The comment system wants me to select pictures with something and then gets stalled. I’m not too good with tech.)
Leah, never worry about commenting although we love your views on life and so many things. Mama could maybe help you with the ‘pictures’ thing. What is that? Selecting pictures? Never heard of that. And yes, getting together on issues is so important.
The selecting pictures thing is a test to make sure you’re not a robot, lol. In a series of pictures, you “select all those with motorcycles”, or bridges, etc. LOL
Oh, THAT’S what you were talking about. Know those WELL. Did not know you had to do that to access my blog. That’s weird.
So true LouLou ! And blessings on The Parents Circle !
Crossed fingers for them. A courageous group.
That is very wise advice, I hope the world will start listening more than talking and warring LouLou.
Oh, we do, too, we wish it every day, all day long.
I have always loved that quote. XO
Listen up, right? It’s a good habit and mama wishes she would use it more…..
Well said, Loulou. I’m glad that you recognized both sides instead of just one side. You’re spot on.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your mom. ♥
Merci, merci, and yes, both sides must communicate and see how much they have in common about simply living in peace.
Face it, Angel Loulou, but humans are just dumdums.
Oh, tell me about it. Not ours, of course, right? But we kitties would fix it all if in charge…uh…repair it all.
