My last week of run-of-the-house-with-no-interruptions!
Well, a photo speaks a thousand words, non?
Here are a few scenes from Rome where mama snaps some weird fun photos of the locals…kids spraying each other white on end-of-term-day at the school parking lot out our window, a pots and pans sculpture at a local museum, a sweet little place for two to have a drink at an outdoor cafe, and mama’s favorite monument, obscured by the enclosure around the piazza fountain being repaired!
Caput mundi is a nickname given to Rome, which mean ‘capital of the world’…okay, okay, but this capital is being repaired all over the city for next year’s Jubilee. Thirty million pilgrims are expected….
Mama won’t be there, no way, but she hope they don’t all rent two-wheeled scooters. Anthros are wheeling around all over the city on those things and practically knocking down anyone in their way. Still, a nun or priest on a scooter would be a great pic!
And…a nice idea for a cactus garden display outside a shop.
Nice group of fun photos for sharing and we love that pots and pans display……the place looks too crowded for my Mom and Dad – it was sure not like that all those years ago when they were there! So Mama and Papa will be home again soon?
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
Oui, they are shooting for Monday afternoon and I will have straightened up MY house for them, haha.
I love that cactus garden so much, Loulou, and what a cute little place to stop for a drink. Rome is beautiful.
Oui, when I was there I loved gazing out our living room window at the kids in the piazza spraying each other with white paint…what a life.
I agree, it’s best to visit this year. Those are all fascianting photos.
Well, mama has quite a stash! Merci for looking, haha.
Thanks for the views of Rome, LouLou – and the view of you enjoying your status as Lady of the Manor.
And I only have a few more days of SOLITUDE!
I’m glad those pots & pans were a sculpture because I sure wouldn’t want to try to cook in that kitchen!
Ha ha that is hilarious! Wouldn’t that be challenging?
Having the run of the house is a good thing. You’re so beautiful.
Looks like a fun time in Italy.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. ♥
Well, everyone needs some down time, I feel, and time for meditation (on what’s in the fridge for me) before THEY return.
Great photos. I like the pots and pans sculpture. XO
Mama loved that one, too! Right down her alley.
love dee potz and panz sculpture!! “a nun or a priest on a scooter”….dat soundz like the beginning ov a joke….isn’t dee cobblestone a little bumpy?
lou lou, yoo look so comfy!
dee cobblestone IS bumpy…on mama’s and papa’s footsies!
Those are cool photos from Rome!
Merci, Mr T. Mama has lots more to come.
Celestial Loulou, we Americans just don’t have buildings and environments that are this old; even newish buildings are torn down to put up modern stuff, so it’s lovely to get a glimpse of what we are missing.
Oh, merci Vicky, and mama has so many and the buildings never change, haha. They are always digging up even older ones around here. Under where mama and papa stay there is an ancient ruin that is closed off and not dug up yet but you can see things through a little crack in the walls.
