Well, we are using a past photo for our Selfie Paws, haha. Just having a bit of fun. Did mama do this one last week? Can’t remember, no record of it so what the heck.
Have a sweet warm Sunday and try to relax. Stay warm, make a soup. It’s mushroom this time:
A little olive oil, a chopped sweet onion and 4 garlic cloves, a splash of wine or Cognac or brandy, a dozen brown mushrooms (not white but they do work, just not as tasty), a squeeze of lemon, cover with vegetable or chicken broth, simmer for 30 minutes, whiz with a hand mixer. Voila! A creamy tummy-warmer with few calories.
Mama is actually going to organize the books that are all over the floor in the living room.
HA! I’ll believe that when I see it.
Mama, please put my kitty books under ‘K’, okay, not ‘C’….merC.
It’s never gonna happen…
What cute toesies, Loulou!
Merci but I needed a pawdicure….
Mushroom soup sounds delish but organizing books “not so much” ! However, it’s good to just get it done – then your Mama won’t have to think about it any longer!
Hugs, Teddy
Well, they have only been there two months…haha.
I love seeing books all over the house, Loulou. It’s comforting that a book is always in reach. That soup sounds delicious!
MERCI, Ms Militza, and yes, books everywhere is comforting, mama says, and the soup is so easy. You can used different mushrooms but the brown Crimini are best.
Hmmm I need to try that mushroom recipe! It sounds delicious, you know?
So tasty and warm for winter days and so easy.
I’m not a huge fan of mushrooms, but it does look like an interesting recipe.
You can’t organize books, they come in too fast.
Oh, so sorry Mama will eat ANY mushroom she can find, sautéed, crisped, souped, grilled. You name it and they are full of good things for your health.
Tis soup season for sure!
Brian’s Home
Soup is so healing, mama says. Warms the soul.
We love mushrooms here. Thanks for the recipe. XO
And you actually have a Mushroom Hunter!!! Lucky you to have him.
Shouldn’t your books b under “L” ? Our human has given up on organizing books and just reads them as fast as she can.
HAHA, oui, ‘L’is far better. GREAT idea, Ms Mary.
Paws of PURRFECTION LouLou!
Awww, merci, Mr B. We do love kitty paws aroung here, especially how they feel sometimes, making biscuits.
You do have beautiful paws, LouLou!
Mummy likes the look of that recipe and is going to try it.
So easy and so warming on a cold winter day. Mama says you can add a spoon of Greek yogurt or something more decadent if you wish.
Oh I say, that soup sounds ever so nice. Hmm, getting the books organised does seem like a tall order. Maybe phase it over the coming year, a book a day, MOL

Stay well and keep enjoying yourself, wherever you may find yourself
ERin
Ah, Erin, a kitty after mama’s heart – ONE book a day, oui! At that rate she’ll finish by 2026….
