Mama sent me this ACTUAL photo of a TOOTH anthro on the street!!! If that isn’t the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. And it looks like such a happy tooth. Mama has this thing for people with a space between their front teeth (Lauren Hutton, Madonna, Terry Thomas, etc.) because she says that people with a front tooth space are always fun-loving and smiley people, or at least she has found that to be true.
“I would love a space in my front teeth,” mama says to the dentist (whom she saw today). “Really,” he said, “well, there are some people who actually have them MADE but it’s not so good for the teeth. You have to be born with one.”
So she stayed with her own plain old teeth and felt a little better when the dentist said that she would never lose her teeth because of their nice roots. Not quite the same for hair after a few weeks absence from the coiffeur, haha.
I don’t have that problem because my roots are always the same, whether they are in my teeth or my fur and as far as I know, they’re both holding steady even if I’m missing a few back molars.
I have a BIG space between my front fangs!
People with spaces in their front teeth are described in France as having les dentes de la chance, teeth of good luck. Spaces are considered very special and a gift of nature, plus they give the person a nice jack-o-lantern smile–always ticklesome to observe.
Ticklesome is not a word, but I like funny words when they work so well.
So I wonder if that guy in the tooth suit gets hot in there–it’s 35 degrees where mama is, which is about 85 degrees farenheit and HOT as Hades.
This trip for mama and papa was to sort of get their oil changed and do a little spit and polish job on the old bods. Actually, their bods are not really THAT old, but a little maintenance is necessary every now and then on any bod, right?
Re-treads, wipers changed, pistons blown, or whatever they do to cars, mama and papa are doing it.
I just hope those doctors check their gas tanks–they need to fill up on high octane to get back to ME.
Are they back yet?
You have nice teeth, Loulou. How long before they come back to you?
Well, they say just a couple of weeks, so I guess that’s a couple of weeks, but what are weeks??? We kitties have no sense of time, lucky, we! I think they are coming back after about a dozen really good naps….
Keep your toothy pegs nice and sharp for their return Loulou. Shame the human wasn’t dressed as a big canine tooth.
There’s a sweet little blog about milk teeth, it’s just cute http://mymilktoof.blogspot.co.uk/
Be patient Loulou, they will return. I like the way the French turn so many things to the positive and kindly. les dentes de la chance is wonderful!

Yes, the tooth of chance, but I have heard it is the teeth of happiness, also, or something like that. I call them happy teeth myself, or jack-o-lantern teeth. Whatever they are, I just love them and really, truly, all of mama’s friends who have them are such nice people.
