Well, last night we had our little gathering with the tiny anthros and mama said it was really nice–fewer presents and earlier leave-taking…always a good thing after so many holiday feasts and gatherings. But I was left here alone with the music from the auditorium, which I love, but papa says, “Loulou doesn’t want to hear all that yodelling (sopranos singing) and that scratchy stuff (violins, etc.)” but I actually love Rossini and Verdi and papa is just funnin’.
Christmas tuckers me out…how about you?
That was some eggnog….(a friend of mine sent this to me)
So I hope everyone has had a good holiday, Hanukkah, Christmas, whatever you have, and I’ll be back on my computer tomorrow with comments on things like Tennessee William’s genius, mama’s osso buco (heh, heh, I’m definitely getting leftovers from THAT…I think), papa’s new socks (well, maybe I’ll leave that out), mama’s new sketch pad (to draw ME, of course), and news about whatever happens on boxing day, Santo Stefano in Italy. Did you know that the name comes from when things were boxed up for the poor in olden days? Or when a ship had a box on it that was gradually filled with coins and was given to the poor on the 26th if the voyage was successful? Or that boxes (Christmas gifts in the UK) were given to the servants as a tradition on the day after Christmas?
Whatever the origin, it’s NOT Muhammad Ali and George Foreman going at it, that’s for sure.
I like to think of it as when mama cleans out my litter really well for a Christmas present!
Now see, here’s a guy cleaning his kitty’s litter area, but mama doesn’t need a scooper like this to clean mine. I go ON the john in a little plastic bowl. No mess, no fuss. So boxing day for me is easy as pie!!
Can you find the kitty in this photo?
Of course not! She’s BEHIND the sand pile watching that dude clean up things.

Glad you had a nice Christmas. We are about to sit behind the sand dune and watch Jan shovel sand because she forgot to clean our pans earlier. 🙂
UH, OH…poor Jan. You guys are SOOO lucky to have her, clean litter or not. And you’ve got a whole farm to….in.
