Well, the fishermen around here had good luck today!
And I certainly had some NICE things happen to me on Friday, 13th, and aren’t weird things supposed to happen today? Like the milk sours, you slip on a banana peel, it pours rain on your newly planted seeds, or the store down the street runs out of Purina croquettes? (For urinary care, by the way, and mama endorses Purina things because she likes them, not because they give her ANYTHING, because they don’t; just good advice when she wrote them once about my…er…not-so-svelte girth, whatever that is…).
So our day has been pretty wonderful, and how was yours?
Sweet Lady Cat had a birthday yesterday and mama just learned of it from her kitties so that was nice.
It’s actually NOT raining when everyone said it would and the sky is black as a bad-luck kitty, although I don’t believe in that at all and LOVE black kitties or at least that hunky one hanging around here all the time.
It’s lighter in the evening than it used to be and today was very, very light, very late. So that was a plus.
And to get the evening rolling, mama has left out some nice chicken to thaw and it’s right out there in plain sight on the counter and since it’s Friday the 13th, I’d better continue the tradition of bad things happening today, no? Just kidding. I’m actually not that kind of kitty, but I do confess that on the stroke of midnight yesterday, ie Friday the 13th at 12:01, I did manage to drag a tiny piece of cheese out of the cloth food bag that mama had trustingly left by the front door for those bad donkeys and when she came down to breakfast, there it was. Evidence.
HEY, you ate my cheese!
I only ate a tiny gnaw. Is that a word? Well, it’s what I ate.
I high-tailed it out of there, you can bet your boots.
Let’s hope the rest of today is full of GOOD surprises and no bad luck for bloggers and friends.
I’m sitting on this shirt to bring good luck to the Roma…boy, do they need it!!! Thank heaven there isn’t a game TODAY!
You ate the donkey’s cheese? And you didn’t have bad luck?
Hey, they are all across the road and nowhere NEAR me, thank heaven. Where does this reply show up on your site? Or does it show only on my site?
Mommy says thank you for mentioning her. She was actually born in the evening on a Thursday, March 12, so she has always seen Friday the 13th as a lucky reminder of part of her first day of life! Any Friday the 13th. And as for black cats, there is me (although like Loulou, black and white) and one of the cats before me (all back except a little tiny tiny patch on her throat), and we are lucky!
Quinn
Oh, Quinn, I wish I could meet all of you and you all, for that matter. So…another Tuxedo there, eh? Well, we are the cat’s meow…haha.
