Sometimes, it’s just the couch…
Oh, boy, am I going to have to be careful with what I say here. Today’s New York Times has a story about a man whose girlfriend was visiting him because she lives far away, and when she saw that his cute little poochie was settled in for the night on HER pillow, she said, Okay, honey, the doggy goes or I go.
And of course, there was some…er…discussion about this subject and her boyfriend ended up writing the wonderful article about what happened from that point.
Now, let’s just imagine that kitties like beds, too. Really like them. Can’t sleep anywhere else, for that matter. And let’s just say that SOME kitties sleep in rather strange places in some beds, as in right between-the-knees on mama’s duvet, for example.
Er…lower right corner=knee.
Mama was used to kitties when she met papa, but he was NOT used to bed kitties and the wonder, the joy, the miracle of sleeping with kitties. One of the world’s great moments, in my book. So it took a little while and a few kitties to bring him round to his position now, which is to call me at bedtime and if I don’t heel, haha, he lifts me gently from my resting place and takes me sweetly to the little comfortable niche near mama’s knees.
Or, sometimes he lets me stay on his on knees.
Now that’s what I’d call a keeper. Mama thinks so, too.
Hey, all you Fidos out there–I have my OWN duvet…haha.
We have our dad-guy trained well too.
Hey, those caresses and snuggles are IMPORTANT to health.
Yes, he does sound like a keeper.
Well, I have grown quite fond of papa, plus he snuggles me whenever he passes by my napping place.
