Meow…
Well, I’ve just read Mousebreath’s interview with Cujo, the Kitty, star of blogs and books, and I thought it might be fun to let you in on a little story of the movie, Cujo, which was most definitely NOT about a kitty and the script for which was written by papa when they lived in Hollywood several eons ago.
One day on the set, the sweet St. Bernard who was starring in the role of Cujo was found dead in his dressing room. Papa thinks it was because he was too sweet a doggy to play such a mean role and so he died of a broken heart. Sad, but true.
But in order to shoot the rest of the scenes, they dressed up a man in a St. Bernard suit for some close-up shots and then used the same costume for a Doberman and HE did some of the action.
Can you imagine?
Well, what I was thinking is that Cujo the Cat should have been the stand-in for that poor doggy and if papa had known, he would have called that kitty up right away to get to the set toute de suite! I’m sure he could have terrorized as well or better than a Doberman!
For a Tuxedo, I’m pretty mild-mannered and can’t seem to pull any of those antics that Cujo the Cat seems to manage daily. I’m more of a lie–around-and-look-cute sort of Tuxie but I feel that my sleep positions are classic. At least I can sleep anywhere, unlike some anthros I know…
Other than sleep yoga, I’m going to leave terrorizing to that Tuxie on Whidbey Island and hope he’ll send me some notes on just how to pull off his daily terrifying stunts.
Meanwhile, I’m kickin’ back for a well-deserved nap.
The mom read the book “Cujo” but she never saw the movie. Loulou, you sure know how to take it easy.
I figure it’s better to kick back and watch the zoo going on with these anthros.
Poor Cujo the dog. They really made a movie with a guy dressed as a St. Bernard and a Doberman dressed like one too? It’s a shame the dog died in the middle of the film.
Cujo the cat is a good kitty. He’s a benevolent dictator and runs his kingdom well. Maybe he’ll help us learn how to get Jan to do our bidding?
Yeah, you guys. We need instructions from that guy. Cujo, indeed. But he looks awfully sweet for a tyrant. I loved that interview. Wish I could give one as good as that!
