Hey, is that a tiny yellow jonquil I see out there popping out its little head in mama’s garden?
Yes, it is. I thought they were called daffodils and I thought they were much bigger than THIS!
But that’s all that’s out there, believe me. And I’m not sure this little creature is going to last through the night.
But about this time of the year, we all start hoping that spring will come early. Mama has already eaten several of her wild asparagus shoots that pushed up last week, but they are so pathetically small…
Ah, well, maybe we’ll have to have another Ground Hog Day and rearrange the seasons. All this weather change makes it hard to know which month is which.
But jonquils in February? Weird.
What is a jonquil anyway?
Have to ponder that.
I think that might be a jonquil in these slipcovers! Or are those posies (whatever they are)?
Oh Meow whatever it is it’s pawfully purretty. We don’t have anythin’ poppin’ up outside yet. Even da wildflowers are still dead. Altho’ we did hear a few birdies peepin’ da other day. And we got fooled. We thought spring had arrived and then yesfurday winter came back. We’s ready fur spring too. Lets call da groundhog and see what happened. MOL Have a pawsum day.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Lexi
Those birdies are perched to appear!!!
Well, we’re having a big snow storm here. No jonquils for us.
WOW, on an island? Wild!!!
Our daffodils are blooming now too. It is always so nice to see them because they remind us spring is on its way. Eventually. 🙂
I learned something, I thought it was a daffodil too.
We love Jonquils! They smell nicer than a plain King Alfred daffodil does we think. They might even be tougher than you think (Let’s hope so!) GOing to read some more of your posts!
Happy Sunday Seflei!!
Well, I read yours and I’ll leave more comments in the future. LOVE “Dash Kitten”, great name.
