Well, I think that infers that SOMEONE or SOMETWO are home again, home again.  Hence, the jiggity jig.  I think. Whatever that is.

Anyway, what do I know?  Two anthros came in the front door and one went out.  That was that.  Except the one who went out was MY FRIEND AND COMPANION WHILE THOSE TWO GALAVANTED AROUND SICILY.

Come to think of it, I may have been able to contact my ‘friends’ in Palermo, if you get my drift, and I could have made their vacation a bit uncomfortable…but of course I would never call on those guys to do ME any favors, haha.  I want them far, far away from me or anyone else, for that matter.

But I digress.  They had fun.  They took pics.  They ate too much.  They swam in silky, clear water and probably got too much sun, but what the heck?

Here are a few pics mama brought back–I’m borrowing them for today’s hello, but pretty soon I’ll get back to MY PICS, which is as it should be.

Lovely people in Sicily, mama says, and lovely sea and lovely water and beach, a bit rocky, but the proper shoes help.  Mostly, it is simply one of the most beautiful parts of Italy and the food is wonderful.

A cache pot from one of the beautiful ceramic shops in Santo Stefano di Camastra, where ceramic shops line the streets.

Torglione with tomato, mint, almonds, and eggplant, one of the specialties of the house where those little anthros live, the ones holding that ancient DOGGY!

YES, that one!

Our hostess on the beach of rocks.

Jumping off the rock (scoglio ballena–Whale Rock–named by the little anthros).

More lovely  ceramics.

A flower-bedecked cemetery in Caronia, the town.

And more amazing ceramic vases, table tops and dishes.

A dip in the incredible water, but stones underneath!

Oh, no, that’s MAMA snuggling that MUTT!

Sweet Sicilian tomatoes and provola cheese.  From the sniffs I took around mama’s cold pack, I think she brought back some. Num, num.

Mama in the water with hostess.

Music in the streets.

OH, NO, more doggies–but these are made of tiny seashells!

The terrace of Za’ Maria, a hotel in Caronia full of ceramic details!  And a very good place to stay from which to take little trips around that part of the world.  Also reasonable and with restaurant, banquet dining room and lovely terrace over the sea.

A quiet evening on the rocky beach, waiting for the sunset.

When you look at sunsets, watch for the flash of green!  Mama and papa saw it.
