Well, not exactly a real lizard, but it was alliterative and I liked that.  See what cheap shots I take with our language.  But what would you call a kitty who sort of lounges around most of the day, especially in winter?  Cuddled Up Kitty?  Languorous Loulou? Lackadaisical Loulou? How about Lost Loulou, because with the onset of holidays, I feel a little…well…lost and blue, don’t ask why.

There is absolutely no reason to feel this way. Look where I’m sleeping, and with a view that’s eye candy, sun streaming in, winter not quite here yet, but still, there is so much pressure during holidays, so much unconscious stress even with all the fun of looking in windows and seeing kids getting excited and trees being decorated and put in windows and tinsel appearing on the street lamps.  I think unconscious is the key–we don’t really KNOW how stressed we get for holidays, especially this year with all the political goings-on, and changes in the world, and what to get for Uncle Smidgeon or Aunt Buffy or friends at the office and so on.

Whatever that means.

All I know is that mama goes out to look for plastic storage containers for leftovers and comes back all tingled and turned on by the activity in the streets and the holiday mood that is beginning to permeate everything, and guess what?  SHE HAS STOPPED TO TALK TO TODI AND GOO GOO AND GA GA OVER HIM YET AGAIN!!!

Okay, okay, he’s cute but he’s my NEMISIS, that bad Todi, always giving mama soulful looks to get her sympathy and a scratch and he is practically x-rated when he turns over for the tickle!

OH, NO, NOW THERE’S A CLONE!!!

See those eyes, that guy on the left, what he does to get attention?  And see that ear thing the other one is trying out (and failing).

Well, if the holidays bring a little melancholy with them, these two can certainly help it along.  Why am I not OUT THERE protecting my domain?

Because:

Unconscious is my middle name and I avoid it all this way.

Sleeping.

Well, actually, after that shakeup in Rome a few weeks ago, I’m going to help hold up the walls.
