BEFORE (Lottsa luck)
DARK AND FREEZING
RAINED-ON TABLE
And I don’t mean raking leaves and woodsmoke smells and trees turning Technicolor and a bare garden. Although we may be doing that if this %$&#%@!! weather keeps up! I know, I know, talking about the weather is pretty boring, but hey, folks, it is about 50 degrees (14 C) here in SOUTHERN FRANCE and it’s a laugh.
I’ll bet the tourist industry is tearing its fur.
And then, just to titillate you, out comes old Mrs./Mr. Sun and flits around the garden and the temp goes up to 75 and we shed our WINTER COATS (well, not me, of course, as I do not have one on right now) and try to have lunch al fresco and papa puts up the umbrella so we’ll be cool and guess what? Freezing wind shows up in about 5 minutes and we all rush inside to eat by the fire, well, not exactly but at least in the semi-warmth of the house.
I’m tired of this. And all sorts of news like this is coming from friends around the earth. Well, California and Italy at least. And it’s all the same. UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN.
I’m just going to curl myself up and ‘fall’ into sleep, haha, while mama and papa rant and rave and move all our lunch things indoors. Again…
Meow LouLou sounds like you’re gettin’ a lot of da same kind of weather we are. Seems so strange to be summer here and still havin’ cold days. Specially since it’s June. Da table did look nice, but we’s sure da noms was good even tho’ they had to be eaten inside.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Well, the noms are pretty good around here because we are so close to the farming section of France and most of the stuff we find comes from people’s farms nearby. Such good nectarines and peaches and stuff…whatever they are! Personally, I hope this is the tuna section of France but I’m pretty sure that’s a wild card.
Meows, LouLou! Very nice to meet you. We saw your post over on Phoebe’s blog today and couldn’t resist the chance to wave at a FRENCH kitteh! But we have to do it in English cuz we don’t know any French at all. Mom says she did take two years of high school French but…. she remembers about four words. The word for cat being one of them. PS: we are in America, in North Carolina. And it’s heating up here too.
Well, hello!! I am going over to your blog right away and say hello, because I have to write mine for today and I have been laaaazzzy. I hope your mom will tell me the four words she knows. And my mamam didn’t have any French before she came here. It’s a funny story that she wrote for France Today, the newsletter online, but I don’t think it’s published yet. I’ll mention it on my blog when they publish. Off to make pizza with mama. It’s Sunday night.
You’re right, Loulou, it’s the same here, and we’re fed up with rain and cold weather. And we have curled ourselves up under the blankies too, just like you. Again. Purrs
What is WITH this weather thing? I want SUMMER. It’s JUNE, for heaven’s sake.
The weather seems to be crazy all over the world right now.
Purrs xx

I guess I have to stop shedding so much and try to keep my winter coat, haha.
