I don’t think Jimmy Choo’s will fit over this (whatever they are).
Oh, mama is so, so sorry for her ex-sister-in-law who fell a couple of weeks ago and fractured her ankle and is now in bed with her second cast, which is better than the first one because it can get wet and she was taking showers under the hose in the back yard because it was 100 degrees and so her partner just hosed her off and I’m sure the neighbors loved that and so now they have told her that it will be 8 more weeks before she tangos or pole dances and so she is pretty depressed and wrote mama that maybe she would take to drink, to which papa replied, I thought she had done that already!
But she is so, so lucky to have a partner who not only can shower his lady love with a hose but who also has been turning out pasta and tartes and running off in the morning to get their special Sunday doughnut and helping her up and down their stairs in the condo and the question arises: What does someone do when there is no partner and no one near to help? How do people living alone who are not 30 any longer (like some people I know, says mama) manage if there is an accident or an illness and no family nearby. My aunt-in-law is lucky to have her partner, that’s for sure.
But it’s a good question for these times when so many families are spread out around the country or the world. And so mama said Well, maybe in that case it would be better to move to France where there is prepared food delivery, where there are people who come to the house for manicures and pedicures, people who come just to help you walk to the store nearby, people who come to read to you or just to talk if you are lonely, and it is all paid for by the carte vitale, the medical card that every French person has for medical care.
A very nice system, if you ask me.
Hey, can you get a carte vitale for animals? Wow, my own pawdicurist! Or…pawdologue, haha.
(I don’t do that kitty-word-thing often but this one worked…)
As you can see, I am in NEED…
A NOTE: If you could not link to the music on School Lunch, try again. Mama fixed it!
Oh your poor ex-Auntie. But at least she has someone taking good care of her. We wish we could get that kind of service…well, maybe not a bath with a hose…that wouldn’t be fun at at all.
Hey, I’ll bet her partner would be really happy to give you wash-off.
Ouch! That must hurt. It really is nice she has someone to help her.
Took the hint and went back. This time we did get to see the opera video. Really enjoyed it!
I’m so glad you heard it. So lovely. I’m practicing my caterwauling….
Loulou, you and a kitty friend get on a plane and go visit your (ex?) Auntie. Both of you, lie down either side of her poorly leg (keeping it warm) and just lie there purring. Her bones will be fixed in no time at all.
Luff Mungo & Jet
Oh, you two, you are SO SAGE!!! I lie on mama’s knee to help it and IT WORKS! Remember my blog about giving my extra fur to an elderly lady who slept with it in a bag next to her for arthritis?
