Do you think you can go there and ask for a tummy rubber?

Translation:  Lulu On My Street — handymen, housecleaners, a helping hand, and good humor to go with it.

Well, this is really a wonderful thing that neighbors are doing in the Marais in Paris.  There are kiosks, little stands like a place where you buy newspapers and such that help neighbors find things they are looking for or get services they need.  I think this is just terrific and I wish more neighbourhood would do that.  A little old lady went up to the Lulu I read about and said, “I have to move from my apartment to another place.  Do you happen to have two strapping young men who will help me as I am alone?”

Isn’t that just incredible?  Anyway, mama was so touched she cried her own version of kitty tears and I thought, “How nice to have someone who cares about you when you are elderly or alone or just in need and don’t have the wherewithal, whatever that is, to find a solution to your woes.  I’ll bet they find kitties for people, too!  Oh, boy, now that would be something.  Maybe even trained kitties who could play ball with you or something…

So that was my GOOD news for the day.  I am putting in the link to the website, but it’s all in French and I know some of you speak French but the cartoons are nice and you’ll get the picture.

I just wish they had spelled my NAME correctly!

It’s okay, Loulou, that’s just another French spelling….
