Remember that vintage photo of the kitty hanging on to a rope?
We really like this for today. There was no copyright info but the photo was on the Clappison Animal Hospital site. I’ll bet they are a good one!
“When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt
LOVE that “knot” part…what a great idea. How to do it is another question…but you get my drift, right?
Have a sparkly Monday and maybe stretch your rope fairly close to the ground, haha. But we kitties land on all fours, remember? Let’s try to do that more often,..
What a great saying, Loulou, and I love that pic.
Yes, that’s a very old photo that was very popular in the 50s I think.
Kittens are always getting themselves into situations where they need rescuing!
It’s probably on purpose and then they giggle behind our backs, haha.
That is a classic, I never get tired of that photo and the advice that goes with it!
We love it, too. Good thing I can’t climb any longer, haha.
That’s a great suggestion! Maybe tie the end of the rope to yourself.
Ha ha, and have a swinging time with it.
Well said dear Loulou – a PURRFECT Spark for the week!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, merci, Teddy, we just love the photo from long ago.
Good spark,LouLou!
Here is another reason for a knot:
My parents used to say that one needed to be able to tie a knot in something so that the understanding part would stick with us…but if they were confused, they’d say they couldn’t tie a knot in it at all!
The knot in Roosevelt’s rope would surely keep one from sliding right off the rope!
Sorry I missed some posts, I was away for the weekend, and now I am trying to get caught up…
Of course we miss you, too, but you do NOT have to leave comments or feel you have fallen down on the job or anything else. We just love what you say when you say it, and merci for that!
Sometimes it’s fun to be knotty!
Oh, yes, and dotty, too.
That is a great spark LouLou! XO
Well, we kitties sometimes get hung up on something, haha, but we land on our feet. Would that anthros could do the same.
My folks used to say that too LouLou ! It is such a good spark @
How wonderful your folks must have been, or are. Merci for THEM!
