Rosh Hashanah started yesterday and continues through tonight, segueing into Yom Kippur.
The days of atonement.
I know one particular individual who should think seriously about that…
The Jewish history of these holy days is so very interesting. How very little some of us know about one another and our beliefs and religions.
Shanah Tovah Umetukah
Which means, “Have a good, sweet year.”
Let us hope that is what it is.
Above all, be kind.
You be lookin’ gawjus LouLou. We’ve been horrible about visiting our furiends this year. With so much going on and mommy’s poor health as well as ours, it’s been a really tough year. But, we luv you and have been purrayin’ fur you and your family. Big hugs

And hugs to you three, and better health. This has been difficult for everyone but we must have hope that it will end, too. Keep safe and distanced and masked and snuggle the kitties.

May your year to happy, and may your year be safe.
Oh, yours, too, all of you! Thank you for reading.
Yes – we will surely miss Ruth Bader Ginsburg – for so many reasons. And the rabbi downstairs and family are all dressed up and we hear chants – as so may others in our neighborhood! Mamma copied a Rosh Hashanah recipe from the NYTimes – will try this week – it sounds good – will let you know!
WHAT RECIPE? Mama is making challah.
Tsimmes – beef stew with lots of good things in it – she is sending now to your e-mail!
Oh, that sounds VERY promising for us kitties.
L’shanah Tovah!
L’shanah Tovah to you, Ellen. Wish we were closer in miles.
Loulou we hope you and your family have a “Good, Sweet Year”…..
Hugs, Teddy 🙂 <3
With your help and fun comments, we certainly will. And you, too. Be safe and smiling.
And Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on Rosh Hashannah, which is considered a special blessing, just as she was to us,
Oh, that is lovely, and my mama’s 103-year old aunt, in her sleep, no pain and had had a good helping of pureed home made vegetable soup. Two great women with blessed deaths.
Shana Tova! May the new year be sweet.
Yes, may it be.
Thanks Loulou. Dad read the Torah to us
Happy Rosh Hashanah everyone!
Yes, but now I have to take stock of what I need to … er…repair in my behavior…..
How lovely. Mama may make a challah, just to be part of it all.
