A typical snuggling frenzy, one of many.

As opposed to, well, zombie jamboree.  No zombies around this burg!

Well, I am going to be expecting LOTS of snuggles and more when mama and papa have an apéro dinatoire (sort of cocktail-y thingy, not a dinner, but with things to drink AND eat), called in Italy an apericena, a little drinky, eaty sort of thing also.  It seems like everyone is arriving at once  – a friend who has been gone way too long visiting family in Hawaii and another from England who is coming with FOUR brothers and sisters to stay in our little town and celebrate a big birthday.  NOT STAYING AT OUR HOUSE, just here in our little ville.

But mama and papa want to throw a little party so we’ll see just who loves kitties and who doesn’t, haha.

I can always tell if there is going to be a bash because mama makes gazpacho and marinates sardines and anchovies and gets out the olive tapenade and makes a focaccia and puts the limoncello in the freezer.  Well, it’s obvious, right?  Party time!  Which = snuggles, caresses, treats, oohs and aahs, you get the picture, right?

Guess I’ll have to brush up, haha, and smooth my whiskers.  I’ve already got on my “smoking” (French for tux), party-ready at all times!

I mean, am I dressed to party or WHAT?

Mama, let’s give me the brush-off, haha.
