Well, well, well, do you know that some cat foods have apple in them? And did you know that an apple a day really does help keep the doc away? Well, I’ve been eating apples in my food for a long time and I love apple yogurt, and now the health experts say that apples are a very effective antioxidant and can help keep your heart healthy.
Funny how these things that all of our grandmother kitties knew appear again after so many years: vinegar for sore throats (mama’s granny drank lemon water each morning for “my complexion”; honey for general health; yogurt for tummies; bananas for potassium and tummy ache; hot peppers for colds; cucumbers and avocados for clear, healthy skin; citrus and kiwis for vitamin C; butter for burns and, I almost forgot, pears for parmesan, haha!
I do like my little morsel of Reggiano every now and again.
As we near the witching hour—well—Bethlehem hour, I guess you could say, I am preparing for all of the festivities by doing the one thing I do best.
May your tree lights not go out and may your presents be returnable.
May your table be enough but not too much and may tomorrow bring you music, reflection, and a lot of time to play with your catnip-filled stocking!
Merry Xmas in 80 languages from me, Loulou.
