MAMA, take my advice!
We’ll, let’s just say “bruised” apple…
The Apple store could not give mama the same model as they didn’t have it in stock and because mama bought hers in the USA and the French ones are a bit different. The store near us here charges more than the one yesterday and they have delivery problems because of summer and holiday time, etc etc etc. But a nice lady said to come in before Friday and she would see what she could do.
Mama, why don’t you just keep using your limoncello-tinted IPad and get on with life…?
Right now, for example, I am pawing my blog with the IPad horizontal and that funny sweet stain is way up in the right corner of the ecran (screen) and I hardly notice it! Hey, if it doesn’t bother me, why does it bother YOU, mama? Oh, I see. It sort of spreads out…….
Still, I wish anthros made life fit into Mr Einstein’s philosophy: Make it as simple as possible but not simpler.
Hmmm…whatever that means, but I think I get it.
Still, I’m going to give mama a little talk about just going with the flow, haha, of limoncello!
Papa knows what makes things work. Maybe he should massage mama’s IPad…
I think of all the things humans could learn from us pussycats if they just would allow themselves to do so. Purr purr purr.
Oh, I agree. They are so DUMB sometimes…
Il faut savoir qu’en France, il y a TOUJOURS une bonne raison pour ne pas pouvoir livrer dans les temps : les vacances d’été, Pâques, Ascension, Pentecôte, Noël, etc. Sans oublier les “ponts”…
Bref, to make it short, in France there is always a holiday to get in the way of smooth production and delivery.
Haha you are so right. But Italy has the same problem, except that often there is no excuse—the thing simply doesn’t show up…lost in cyber-delivery. But we LOVE your French holidays…
I always thought lemons and apples went well together? Guess not. Well, there’s an Apple store in Nice, but they don’t have a ton of stuff – mama bought hers at FNAC! She can look here if you like? BUT there’s a huge Apple store in Paris, so maybe worth a train ride there to check things out? Oooh, the technology problems that can happen. Glad we just have to worry about being fed and petted!!
Mama has decided that she just may live with a SLIGHTLY tipsy IPad, haha.
Hey Loulou, sometimes with humans the flow just doesn’t!
Oh, could they learn a thing or two from US.
I would be afraid it would attract ants 🙂
Uh, oh, didn’t think of that! It’s no longer sticky, thank heaven.
I refrained from recounting this yesterday but the time to tell it is now : I am still using a laptop (not this one) that is still running Windows 7 and was peed on by one of my cats. Gradually the stain/dampness has spread so it appears to be a “water stain” around all the edges of the screen. Other than doing a mop-up when it occurred, I have not done anything about it. I recently had the computer in for a check up and cleaning. I wanted it upgraded to Windows 10 and had a solid state drive put in. The bad news – no upgrade is (yet) available and after Jan 1 Windows 7 will no longer be supported with Windows upgrades, etc (your own anti-virus programs will not back what these updates do.) There may or may not be upgrades offered before Jan 1 but I have lots of files and photos on that computer anyway so I can still use it, just not on the internet (They told me lots of businesses still use Windows XP but do not access the internet because the cost of replacing all the XP software is prohibitive) Anyway…the whole crew at the computer place never mentioned the peculiar looks of the stain. Or commented on what effect it might have on performance. Or asked me what the !@#$ happened to it. So maybe Mama should enjoy the abstract art aspects of her limoncello and not worry about continuing to use her iPad. Though she may want to orient the liquid to the bottom corner so it doesn’t flow up.
Oh, Mary, how funny, funny that they never mentioned the stain…or the perfume? Now you’re giving me ideas, haha. But I have my pee place and I wouldn’t dream of jumping on the table and opening mama’s Ipad to…er…leave my calling card.
So—your suggestion is taken! I am using mama’s IPad daily, and I have decided to just live with it. And guess what? The stain is gradually receding!!! Maybe drying out…? A good thing to do after too much limoncello, haha.
