No, I’m not helping with gardening…you have Frederic and I have YOGA practice!
Well, mama and her helper, Frederic, a really nice guy from the neighborhood who does the heavy work, have been at it all afternoon because mama’s guru, Jean, says that if the broad beans (feves en francais) are not planted by tonight, the garden gods will wreak havoc on the winter plantings and not allow them to go forth and multiply.
That said, I personally think everything will do exactly as it wishes as it always does. Gardens are just like us, haha!
But, to be sure of SOMETHING coming up, mama put in her beans in nice little hills with compost all around and then in her usual precise and compulsive manner, ruffled up a bit of soil and tossed lettuce and spinach seeds wherever they fell, haha.
BUT…the whole shebang is covered in compost and all the little seeds are nestled in their nice black soil beds and so you never know…we just may have a bang-up harvest in the spring.
And now…I have such a wonderful whole yard of kitty litter!
And this poor guy only has a planter box! (I have to admit, that’s mama’s cat from long ago, Fiat, who looks like a nice guy, but he’s in MY post. I did it to be nice…
What a cutie Fiat was!
Oh, mama loved him so much and he grew to be a BIG kitty.
Oh Loulou – I missed your newsletter this morning!! Mama got all wrapped up in the hurricane stuff and hogged the computer. And Fiat – my kind of guy – rolling around in the dirt – YESSS! Well, glad the beans got planted and avoided the wrath of the Bean God! Geez – the things our athros have to be on top of to avoid chaos!
Oh, that hurricane was certainly more important than my blog! But chaos still abounds…they are taking me with them!!!!!
Your mama stays so busy. No wonder you need so many naps.
Flat – an unusual name for a cat – or anyone. Any special reason for the name? We figure he wasn’t actually flat.
Oh, that’s funny. Mama found him at the Fiat agency in Santa Barbara and he needed a home…a tiny yellow kitten.
Fiat was found at a Fiat agency as a tiny yellow kitten and mama whisked him away.
Fiat was a cute kitty.
Oh, and very loved…
Oh, he was a character, mama says.
Purrs to your Mama’s past kitty – I just read yesterday’s post (about Mya’s Mama’s wine ) and must tell you that one of my kitties peed on this laptop several years ago. It still works, though. Well, sorta. I am running Chrome, and it is getting pretty old – but it survived it’s -er – christening.
Oh, what a story! Any particular reason that little devil wanted to DO that? Had you written something about him/her that ticked him/her off?
Well, at the time he was an indoor-outdoor kitty, and I was bringing him in every night. He was trying to convince me he needed to be an OUTDOOR kitty, and that went a lot way to accomplishing that. I used paper towels and one of those spray cans of air to clean it up a bit.
Oh, that is priceless! We kitties definitely communicate…
Loulou, I bet that Fiat was a nice guy. How could he not have been with that face.
My apologies mon ami for my absence. Mom and Dad were away on vacation, so I’m just now trying to catch up on reading your bloggie posts. Hugs and pets.
Well, that was certainly a sweet catch-up! Merci, Noir Kitty! And that Fiat was a love, mama says.
