Well, we installed a new Adobe 15 Elements and it will not allow me to copy from it and paste into a blog. PLUS, I cannot now use my Picture Paste, which I have been using for years—a great program that disappeared off the market and allowed me to copy any photo from anywhere and run it by Picture Paste to insert it in any blog, email, etc.
Maybe someone out there knows another app I could use instead?
BASTA with this computer madness!!!
On another subject:
Mama had to get my food at a store yesterday that has a PET shop department and this is what she found. Should I worry? She was so taken with the poor little ferret that she cried…he looked so sweet and had a little “take me home” expression…uh, oh. She says ferrets are just lovely little creatures that look as if they came out of a fairy tale! Oh, yeah, sure…crazed weasel is more like it! Sorry for the short blog but frankly, I am in computer hell…
And I see no way out just now. HEY, GURU, WHAT’S WITH ALL THIS TROUBLE!!!
The mom doesn’t know anything about Adobe Elements but she hopes your mama can figure something out. And ferrets are kinda cute…but we don’t think we would want to live with one.
NO, NO, you do NOT want to live with anything that FAST, haha. But they are so, so cute.
Cripes so Adobe Elements is playing up huh? This does NOT sound right to us. We assume you are saving it as a JPEG (?) not a psd (photoshop file). Check in case the default is set to the wrong one. I cannot add psd files to my blog either.
If all else fails, put into your search engine “Adobe Elements won’t cut n paste my images” or some such.It may have happened to someone else they may have a solution.
Yes, thank you, I did that in the search engine, and yes, they are all jpegs. I can upload to Media Library but it is so tedious and takes forever. Today’s blog was done with uploading and it took almost an HOUR. Normally, when Picture Paste worked with my old Adobe, it took 15 minutes!
Ooooh – I want a ferret!!!!! But mama is getting that look of HORROR on her face, so guess not. I can just imagine tossing him in the air and shaking him like Octo-poulpe – and now mama is turning purple. Guess no ferrets in our world, Loulou. Darn.
For the computer problems, mama has a three-letter word and it starts with an M. And it’s not Mya. Voila.
Well, that gave me paws. Hmmm…could it be…M…A…C? But so many people have talked her out of it–BUT, she trusts you and sometimes, you alone, where the M word is present! Here’s an M word for your mama…Merci!
it sounds like they switched your default photo program to MS photos app. don’t know where to find or change that but it is a constant fight to retain the programs I want. jut installed instead of updating (stupid) firefox and as soon as i clicked on the first link, a box opened asking what program I wante to open with. Big block with MS Edge. Little choices below. I thought, yes, idiot, I reinstalled ff because I want to use edge. ms is such a bully!!!!!! Hope you can find where to change the default.
Oh, Jan, I can upload to Media Library but it takes forever. My pics are all in Adobe, just not recognized by Picture Paste, which I adored. It converted my jpegs into blog-pegs, haha.
Perhaps there is another app that will do the same and be recognized by Adobe….
Oh LouLou, we’re so sorry you’re havin’ catputer purroblems. We don’t know ’bout copy and pastin’ fotos, we always just use da add fotos in our blog editor and upload them from whatever folder they’re in. We’re sure you have dat option as well as we think your bloggy is powered by WordPress. It’s also an option in blogger. As fur da ferret, mommy had one once, and said they really smell. and we mean really smell. MOL We’re sure your mommy is happy with just you. Big hugs fur all and purrayers fur your catputer purrobl;ems.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Oh, Dezi, that was very, very helpful and yes, I do have media library into which I can upload photos from my Adobe. It takes a while but I guess it’s just part of the game of blogging with WordPress. Mama had this crazy idea that she could take a photo with her IPhone and just pot that into a blog…..no way, Jose. Maybe with Apple products? I think there is no free lunch here…
Sorry I have no advice for you, I am practically computer illiterate.
Well, you are so literate in so many other fields, who cares? Thank you anyway, Ellen.
I don’t know…that little guy looks like a pretty cute little playmate to me! –Mudpie
WHO ARE YOU? What a great name, Mudpie!!! Mama loved making mudpies when she was small, and thank you for your comment. I’ve heard (see above) that they are stinky-poo so no ferrets around here. Also have sharp teeth…..
Oh, how well I know that situation! I have used Word Perfect since the mid 1980’s. Now Corel sold the whole app off and so WP is no longer available and no tech support! Same thing with Photo Deluxe, I had that down pat! and then Splat, down the drain. And now they have just dumped my favorite accounting tool Lotus 123! Now if I was a ferret and’d go bight them all on the B–!! Oh Boy, does that make me feel better ..
Well, I wrote you and thanks for the bites!!! Glad that helped!
Oh LouLou – my cousins had ferrets and found they DID NOT play well with kitties, so please discourage your Mama !
I am sorry about the ‘updates” ruining your computer – it is a constant fight with mine. And I’m not in love with Windows 10 either !
I haven’t seen any news today so I am hoping Harvey is exhausting himself. Purrayers and Purrs !
Thank you for ferreting out that info for me. Mama wouldn’t DARE get a ferret, no matter how cute. But she did feel sorry for him, poor little critter. She just spoke with a Houston relative and all is well where they are.
