Well, today will be brief because I needed some research done by mama and she is so deep into The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows (two BRILLIANT writers, mama says) that she could not take the time to bother with me at the computer.
Can you imagine?
Mama says that no one’s life should be without this book and if she could send it out to all book lovers everywhere, she would. She has been dropping anthro tears with practically every page…that says something.
I’m going to take a look at it tonight when she’s sleeping and see what all the brouhaha is about. I do know that there is an incident with a cat, Muffin by name, in the book, but I won’t say more than that.
Mama is upstairs now, enthralled (whatever that means) and won’t come down to give me dinner until she’s ready, but I have to admit, she’s never late by more than a few minutes and papa can use scissors, too, right?
Just cut along the dotted line, papa. Put into the little bowl with a cat on it.
DO NOT forget the olive oil…3-4 drops over all.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more on this obsessive book-reading thingy that mama has in spades!
I’m glad someone is on the ball around here…
The mom read this book awhile back. She said it was very good and would recommend it to other humans.
Yes, it came out years ago and mama is stumped at having not seen it, but books find their readers when they are supposed to, right? I hadn’t read Puss in Boots for such a long time and then bammo. There it was.
I am eager to hear more about this book. I am also curious about the olive oil in your food- is it for shiny fur or something else?
Well, I just love olive oil and got into the habit because mama and papa eat so much of it. The funny thing is my fur got smoother and more luxurious and my …er..habits….are regular…but mama and papa make a joke about how I’ll eat only biological oil. It’s not really true and last night, when papa dropped a bottle with oil in it, I helped to clean it up before they took me away! It was a lot of oil. Yes, it’s good for everything. Just a few drops over any of my foods, and I’ll eat it.
Oh, what are you eating? Looks good. Hope your mom remembers to put the book down long enough to sleep tonight.
Well, she finished the book and shed a few tears but that was one helluva book…sweet story and a couple of kitties here and there.
