I just can’t face boxing up anything! Getting in one, maybe…
Well, today is the day that anthros box up all the presents they are giving to the poor, but long ago on large estates, the presents were for the servants. Not happening around here, I assure you!
Or maybe we are all a little guilty of using the day after Christmas to set aside things we got that we might not ever use and put them in the Present Drawer for NEXT Christmas, haha.
Just be sure you don’t give that electric fly zapper to the one who gave it to YOU!
What’s really funny to mama is that in the UK Boxing Day has become a huge shopping day!
Didn’t we just go through that from September to December 25th?
There’s no accountin’ for anthros.
Come to think of it, we could really use a fly zapper…meanwhile, this is too complicated, I’m outta here…
We hang an electronic fly/bug zapper in our back porch…it gets all the moths and other bugs including pesky flies! Of course we don’t need it right now…so the zapper can have a rest too…just like you!
Never go into a store around here on Boxing Day, that is when the lineups at the service desk are L O N G because peeps who are not satisfied with their gifts are returning them. Phooey and Bah Hunbug!
Everyone should have to KEEP what he/she/it gets and then next year, wrap up unwantables for their gifts to everyone, making a very careful list about who gave what, haha. Then no shopping would be needed.
On this New Year, I wish that you have a superb January, a dazzling February, a Peaceful March, an anxiety-free April, a sensational May, and joy that keeps going from June to November, and then round off with an upbeat December.
WOW, might I use that one in a gmail to friends? I’ll give you credit. A wonderful New Year greeting.
Electric Fly Zapper – never heard of that! There are so many poor in Nice – and most are MEAN! Don’t think Mamma will do that. They used to give money on holidays to a man in a wheelchair – but haven’t seen him for a year. Maybe he changed cities?! We will look for him today!!!
I made that up! Missing you. Yes, lots of poor everywhere.
Missing YOU TOO!!!!!!
We didn’t box at all today either Loulou!
Good to know I have buddies…
And here I thought that shopping was the national pastime for Americans, Loulou!
Ha ha, well, the Brits have joined the crowd! We’re staying out of those…
Well, I didn’t do any shopping on Boxing Day…just a lot of snoozing. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, we are on the same wavelength…
My Dad has a fly zapper that he keeps on the front porch so the little flying things don’t BUG (haha) him in the summertime. My Mom and Dad loved everything they got from SANTA PAWS and I liked my presents too so we’ll be keeping everything…..I might give one of my toys to our outside visitor who comes for breakfast every morning and sleeps in the heated house on the porch though. We call him Jimmy and he has a home but visits us a lot. He needs a toy so I’ll give him one. Hope you get some rest – it’s exhausting at Christmas isn’t it!
Hugs, Teddy
Boy, did you hit the nail on the head! We are too pooped to pop and how good of you to share with your visitor, Teddy. You have a big heart, like your mama and papa.
Wel, Loulou – I didn’t get a thing – excep for FOOD – and that’s what I like BEST! I have so many toys I can’t keep up. Even Mamma and Papa didn’t give gifts – but we had a really nice meal with neighbors (3 – who had all their shots!).
Well, I LOVE MY FLOPPY FISH, thank you, Mya. Did you pick that out? And my ceramic tile is on the front door, and papa drinks out of his cup and mama is about to paint with her water-solubles!!! What a Santa you were, Mya.
Happy Boxing Day! I usually shop today for half off Christmas things, but we didn’t this year. XO
A grand idea and I remember that happening in the past somewhere but not this year. What a strange holiday…
Tunaed out eh LouLou ?
Yep. Overload on holidays, not my fave time…
You look worn out you poor cat! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Oh, after wrapping all those things and stirring pots for mama and making sure the fire was still crackling…whew, exhausting.
We got an electric fly zapper, we bought it ourselfs and it worked great but it didn’t last long because our fly season is horrendous so the fly zapper zapped out. Enjoy a relaxing day!
Wow, mama thought she had made that up! Happy New Year to you all.
