Well, I’m sort of into this this modeling thing now. How’s this for a sultry pose for the life drawing class? And what do they pay?
I can hold this pose for…oh…two or three hours.
Mama and Anne will be at the gallery until Sunday so I have to keep papa in line at home, clean up the house, blow leaves off the patio and in general, RUN things for the next few days. There is also talk of leaving me with the Kitty Whisperer next month for a few weeks…five to be exact, and frankly, when I think of ships and throwing up and car trips and no garden to scratch in and no sun puddles to lie in and no fresh air from the sea, I am not really too unhappy about staying put.
Lots of anthros have advised that I stay home while THEY visit small creatures in Rome and gallavant all over the place, which they don’t really do much because I’m around and I HATE gallavanting, but mama is already getting teary when I least expect it about not having me near her and papa for such a long stint.
Also about missing the nice little hot water bottle that I am in bed. Oh, yes, they will miss me A LOT, believe you me. But what’s a kitty gonna do when a kitty has a perfectly nice Kitty Sitter and is fed and snuggled and visited by neighbors and can roam in the garden and NOT be put in a cage in a large, vibrating woo woo monster of a ship?
Hey, which one would YOU choose?
Maybe a career as a stay-at-home?
well, whatever you choose you have that sultry pose down pat! xoxo
Yes, well I was told to pose sort of languishingly….if that’s a word.
Loulou – yes. Stay home and enjoy the beautiful garden and wonderful Kitty Whisperer and your mama’s friends who will come by and spoil you. Mama told me about when she kitty-sat for you in Rome you both had great fun and you slept on her head every night like she was wearing a russian cossack hat while you purred. She was quite happy – and we know kitties like their own spaces!! BUT maybe start taking little car trips – like just ride around the neighborhood once a week or so to get used to the car and the movement. I used to get car-sick, but now, I’m ready to jump in and GO. Don’t know about that boat thing though……..
Yeah, well, you do NOT want to know about that boat thing, except it probably is much easier for doggies. And there are a lot of doggies on the boat (3-4) sometimes and they seem happy as clams, whatever that means.
I think staying home with your Kitty Whisperer, in your own garden, and your own (non-swaying) bed is best for you. Still, if they plan to spend 5 weeks next month away (This must be the metric system. Our months only have 4 weeks.) that IS a very long time. But a long time to be away from garden & bed. If they miss you, maybe they will come home a bit earlier. There is little chance you would pack off and then go off to join them.
Oh, a slip of the grammar…five weeks meant part of June to part of July and about 5 weeks in all. We have done this together before and yes, I was happy at home but I missed my mama’s knees a lot and papa’s snuggles. Still, Mya’s mama said that they would miss me much more than I would miss THEM!
Kitties should stay at home with their favorite pet sitters!
Oh, thank you for your advice. I think mama will be happy with that. She is quite worried.
Well, purr-sonally, I too think that you are best to stay home. The thought about being in a cage on a moving thing in water doesn’t sound appealing to me! You can’t sun puddle while in the cabin of a ship and you can’t lounge wherever you want. And there’s nothing fun about getting a queezy belly.
Well, I am not in my cage on the ship, just in the car GOING to the ship, but really, is there a difference. I do NOT like the movement of the ship OR the car. Mya’s mama said to wrap me in a pillowcase and just hold me close while traveling, but I don’t think I’m ready for that. Maybe small trips…to the vet, for example.
