I am NOT putting on a mask, no way.
Well, this is about as far as I go to dress up for carnevale. I adorned my resting place on Annapurna with this neat linen (!) cloth that papa’s ex-wife gave me for Christmas. What you don’t know is that there is a DOGGY on the right end of this photo but out of sight…hmm, guess I goofed.
But two days ago, all the little anthros in this town were dressed up for the carnevale parade, so cute, with little paper hats and a big drum being beaten as they marched through the ville. There was confetti everywhere afterward and made the town very festive.
OH, NO. Then mama evidently went bonkers again and started looking at DOGGIES and she actually told me that THIS WEIRDO reminded her of ME in a doggy suit! He is an American Bullly, interesting name, no? But he was ‘very sweet’, mama said. Oh, yeah, just put a steak in front of that muzzle and you’ll see ‘sweet’! Actually, I think he may be related distantly to Marcus at the Funny Farm…
Frankly, he is sort of cute and the insides of his ears are like mine…sort of mottled pink and white.
And wait a minute! Who is THIS mongrel who looks as if he just got out of a carwash?
Mama, you’re not going out ALONE again! You say papa was with you? Oh, boy, I’ll have to have a talk with HIM now…
Loulou, I know just how you feel; mama goes pazza for those French doggies. I’ll try to keep her on her leash, okay?
That’s more like it, papa.
I think your Mum enjoyed the celebrations didn’t she?
Well, she was the only one out there with a camera taking pics for me, and she loves little kids in costumes.
Oh LouLou, your mommy might look at da doggies, but you’re still her nummer one. big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Yes, but a JACK RUSSELL?????? Oh, boy.
Hey, that’s my cousin Louie! I thought he was living in the next town up the hill, not across the waves. What’s he doing over there?
Marcus
Oh, Marcus, you should come visit him!!! He would LOVE it, and you can stay with ME!
Awwww, maman is getting all nostalgic – when she lived in New Orleans, every carnival season, there would be a Barkus parade where the dogs (she never did see a cat there, maybe because you guys – and gals – don’t bark!?) dressed up to match the theme and the owners did too. She has wonderful photos of Pepper & Rosie dressed as the Addams Family, Barktenders on the Titantic (with banners “Drink till you sink”), biker dogs, etc. Sure wish that would catch on in France – it was SUCH FUN. Well, Loulou, you could masquerade as a dog – ? I’d play along!
So could you help me with my makeup, Mya_
That looks like a lot of fun.
Well, it is fun if you are a tiny anthro but don’t make me dress up!
I thought Carnivale came before Lent, like Mardi Gras. Obviously not, if you just celebrated it. Now I’m confused (not unusual). But if it makes you feel any better, I don’t think the doggy looks like you.
Oh, what a relief. He does have cute ears, though.
The final photo so warmed our hearts. You have a good papa! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Oh, my papa is incredibly affectionate but if he’d just lay off long enough to let me SNOOZE every now and then. I’m like a magnet to him.
