That’s a donkey on there with his legs showing.
Well, you may not know this, but this part of France is very Catalan and our nice vegetable-producing neighbor has put up a great big flag to scare away birds and varmints (whatever they are) from his produce patch and it’s so nice to wake up and see it undulating in the soft winds of summer. Even if it does have one of those bad donkeys on it.
As for summer, it feels almost like the tropics here lately, which is why I am flat out on the terrace, umoving and a slug of a kitty, even when birds come right up and drink out of the birdbath right in front of me. Ho hum.
Well, not on the terrace, but close by…
But it’s hot everywhere and I’m taking a break right now to contemplate my future subjects (for writing, that is, not my subjects as in subjects under Queen Loulou or something) but most of the news in the world is so negative that I can’t bring myself to comment today on terrorism or child abuse or anthros being mean to one another. I will say that yesterday in a magazine there were two beautiful men, married, who had a darling little baby between them who had been conceived in the USA and was now living in France with his new French parents and that baby looked really happy, just grinning from ear to ear and they looked so happy that I was moved by the whole thing and glad to see someone grinning somewhere for a change.
Many French were against gay rights at first but have adopted them faster than some other countries, so that is positive new, too.
Oh, and there some acrobats in our little village today who were really very good. A nice little Sunday treat for the tourists.
As for me, I’m lying in my typical pose, wasted by this heat.
Would someone bring me a lemonade?
We hope your hots go away soon, Loulou. Until then, the garden looks like a great spot to stay cool.
Under the arugula, that’s my spot.
Oh Loulou, we love the shots of you cat-a-lounging in your garden.
You stay contemplating the loveliness of nature, don’t worry about the world of apes.

I’m practicing to be a model for mama in her studio. It just looks like I’m relaxed (or sleeping). Actually it is a very arcane form of yoga.
Sure, we’ll bring you one, just as soon as one of us can move. We’re kind of laid out in this heat, too.
You can say that again. There is a conference near here about how the heat is affecting tourism. Maybe they’ll all stay home….yay!
We wish we could bring you one.
Remember this: When life brings you lemons, DUCK!
(In other words, smile).
And when is cooler weather coming????
Hey, I hope life brings me lemons so mama can make lemonade…but the DUCK part is funny. I was hit by a lemon just yesterday –from our tree, haha.
