This is my Rat Impersonation because I SMELL A RAT!
Well, you may be wondering why my blog is so late, not to say, non-existent yesterday, and I just want to say that 1. WordPress went out and fortunately restored my blog that I had already written and was ready to publish but…and 2. Mama has been helping me write by aiding and abetting, sitting on a garden chair made of white plastic for about four years now and just today, she and papa went out to get her a REAL, honest to goodness office chair (read: abandon ME), which you will now feast your eyes upon below:
Office Chair…duh
Hey, no great shakes, right, but let me tell you that garden furniture can do funny things to your back, neck, you name it, and I said to mama, “Mama, you have to have a chair to help me or it just doesn’t come out right when we work together and you’re always scootin’ around and trying to get comfortable and frankly, it’s a disruption to my train of thought.”
So off they went on their way to get their eyes looked at (get that–eyes LOOKED AT, haha) and their teeth cleaned and they left me for a good six hours without even saying where they were going and I really should be a bit miffed at that, but instead, I ENJOYED IT, you two!!!
And this is what I did with my FREE TIME WITH NO EMCUMBRANCES OF CUDDLES AND INTERRUPTIONS OF SLEEP!
and this:
and don’t forget THIS:
And I ended up like this:
But that’s when I heard them come in from wherever they were with that NEW CHAIR and I forgave them their sudden abandonment of me and all of my needs and necessities.
Plus mama is REALLY happy that now she can help me with my writing without making creaking noises when she tries to stand up.
And just in case you are wondering why mama is drinking three huge 2-liter bottles of what looks like hooch, or moonshine (whatever that is) and has finished two and is heading toward the third, that’s FISH EMULSION FOR THE PLANTS!!! And trust me, when that lid comes off the bottle, you don’t want to be around…
We wanna know when you get that chair, Loulou. Because we all know all things belong to the cat…we only let the humans use them.
I’m keeping it low right now, but as soon as mama leaves one day….there I’ll be, where I belong in MY NEW CHAIR.
You look very relaxed, Loulou ! We’re glad you don’t have to share your chair. Purrs
Yes, well, papa has other ideas!
ooooh YUMMMMMMM – the worse it smells, the more I like it – especially if I can roll in it!!!! Yippee can’t wait to come to the garden!!! Sorry, just the dawg in me I guess……..
BRAVO – your mamma has a great, well-deserved chair. But why these humans SIT when they could lounge, curl, roll like we do when they work? We (petite 4-legged princesses) know how to do our work in comfort. They should take a lesson from us. But they might not get a lot done……..Loulou, are we LUCKY, or WHAT, teehee!!!???
Oh, Mya, we are SOOOOO lucky. How can you walk with two paws anyway?
I am sorry you got abandoned for so long. Poor LouLou.
Yes, well, it was a matter of hours, whatever those are, but I was asleep, I have to admit. And when I’m asleep, they can’t really have prime time with me!
Your Mama is sooooooo pretty and her work area is just beautiful! So neat and tidy!!!!! My Mom’s is a mess! Love your Mom’s new chair too. My Mom sits on the edge of her chair which isn’t good either. Thank you for the super sweet comment you left on the blog for Dakota’s birthday. That was so nice of you! xoxo
Well, the more birthdays we have, the better, right? I love it that Dakoka had another one.
A garden chair huh LouLou? Dat sounds pawful. Mommy sits in her only chair other than da wheelchair. We call it da sittin’ chair. Get it? It’s fur sittin’ and doesn’t have wheels, so it’s da sittin’ chair. MOL She finally got a table type desk a couple years after we got our catputer cuz she was leanin’ over to type on an ottoman type thing. Da things our mommy’s will do to help us. Kinda makes ya’ really purreciate them, huh? You look like you had a pawsum time while your peeps were out. At least there’s dat. MOL Big hugs fur all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Wow, a great name, The Sitting Chair! Well, they weren’t gone long but still…
Glad your Mama got a comfy chair so she can help you write without hurting her back ! And while she was out shopping you could catch up on your sleep which is one of the best things to do on your day off !
Ahhh, do we EVER catch up on our sleep? I think not.
How nice of your mama to finally get herself a real chair so she isn’t annoying you while you work. We hope this will boost her productivity – and yours.
As to the fish emulsion, thanks for the warning. We’re leaving now before she pops the lid on one.
Oh, boy, am I glad you left the room. That stuff is POTENT. What kind of fish do they use anyway—Stinkfish?
You know how to work it without really working it, Loulou. That belly … oh my cat … that’s a belly to launch a billion ships 🙂
I think I’m going to have to do a Tummy Calendar…haha.
Hi Loulou, dear! It looks like you had a nice relaxing afternoon when your mom and papa went to town. I bet magical dreams came to you when you were having belly to the sky snoozes! I’m glad your mom has a new chair, so your thoughts can go uninterrupted now! Take care little lady! Sending tummy rubs to you!
Oh, Valentine, thank you and thank you for publishing my Valentine to my garden. It is calling out to me even as I write, spring is here!
