Rugs change my life. My poor little body gets cold without something under it.
No, no, not THAT kind of change with all the hot flashes and moods and whatever else goes on and besides, how would I know, a kitty only five years old and besides again, we kitties do not get those things, I’m pretty sure, although around here lately you’d never know that we were…er…fixed kitties because a few Toms are catting around here, that’s for sure, and who knows what THEY want…
But I digress. Mama was walking along this morning on the way to her exercise class in 8-degree weather (that’s Celsius so I guess about 45 degrees but with the VERY strong wind that we have around here called the tramontane) and was thinking how nice and cozy she was in a hood that papa gave her for Christmas that is all lined and warm and how it changes everything to have really warm things on your head in cold weather. And then she continued thinking about all the things that made her life easier and all the nice things people had contributed to these changes and of course one was the hood, but another was her stepdaughter’s visit long ago (stepdaughter already having two babies and pregnant with the third) when mama gave over her kitchen to Nicole to prepare the babies’ food, and after fixing the food, Nicole just put everything but the kitchen sink in the dishwasher–pots, pans, dishes, glasses, sponges, you name it and let it rip. And mama said to herself, WOW, I can do that, too. I don’t have worry about this or that in the dishwasher, just load it up any whichaway and push the button. Changed our lives.
This is not mama, but you get the picture. It’s how she FEELS now that she has a head cover.
Now mama puts in the dish brush, the sponges, the big pots and pans, even papa if he needs it. Haha, just kidding.
DO NOT PUT YOUR DOGGY IN THE DISHWASHER! This is not our dishwasher but it was funny. Mama knows someone who cooked a salmon in her dishwasher when the oven broke!
Another friend taught mama about gardening with mulch and that changed her life. No work, no weeds, no trouble with pests. Miracolo as they say in Italy.
And there are so many blogger tips from other bloggers that make life easier, at least for me, the writer. A sort of no-rules kind of writing, which is a lot easier than following rigid requirements.
I guess the list is just too long to write about here, but it’s nice to think about people and animals and things that have changed YOUR life.
Oh, I forgot the one thing that really changed her life, and papa’s, too.
ME!
Y’know. Loulou. Once I crawled into the dishwasher. I wanted to lick the plates clean and save the mom the trouble of washing them. She wasn’t very appreciative. And she didn’t wash me. ~Wally
Oh, Wally, I’m so glad you didn’t rinse and spin. But you really look clean all the time anyway. We kitties don’t really need hamams or saunas or steam rooms, right? It’s all in the tongue.
I absolutely love this post because I LOVE your attitude! Laughed my head off about the doggie in the dishwasher. I am always so careful about how I load the dishwasher, guess I just need to not care
Oh, I am so glad you get a kick our of my wobbly words. Yes, just throw everything in except your kitty and let ‘er rip!
Bear likes to sit in the bathroom with me and he always waits for me to get the bath mat on the floor … he’ll just sit and stare until I pull it off the rack … I guess the tile is too cold on his paws 🙂
Aw, that is so sweet. And yes, the bathroom floors are often cold on the most sensitive part of a kitty.
I am sure you improved their lives immensely. You are a sweet girl. XO
Thank you, Ellen. You are such a fan and I love your kitties, too.
The rug is sure nice but it looks like you are really enjoying your pillow! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Yes, well, THEIR pillows are my favourite.
Aaaaaaaaaaw LouLou, we bet your mommy and daddy think you’re da bestest thing dat ever happened to them. We know mommy says dat ’bout us. You look adorable. And we’re glad your mommy has a dishwasher to throw everythin’ into. Sounds like it’s a really big help. Mommy’s our dishwasher and she washed everythin’ too. Big hugs to all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
I’ll bet you kitties get a little bath every now and then with dishwater, no? Papa throws water all over the place, and on me, when he does the dishes.
And you, of course, changed their lives for the better. You’re much softer and cuddlier than any dishwasher or bag of mulch!
Now that’s a thought to ponder!!! Hmmm….
