Do I dare to eat this stuff? WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? I shouldn’t talk to strangers…
Well, so I was led by nummy goodness into THEIR nice warm kitchen and mama was sautéing onions, which has to be one of the great sniffs of the culinary world and very attractive to little schnozes like mine, even if I can’t have any, but seductive, it is.
And who wouldn’t want to be in a nice warm place after having live ON A WOODPILE for heaven knows how long? That’s right. Mama went out to look for me around the second day, before I had moved closer to the house, and she found me huddled in their wood pile, which is under a protective roof and provides a lovely place for abandoned kitties to ponder the future. Read: HIDE.
Also magnificent, those logs, for sharpening claws! And what did I know? I might have needed them…the claws, not the logs, haha.
In our little town, there are feral kitties who live under cars and in dark corners and up high on walls where they are safe, and I am pretty sure that some of them are my siblings.
But then again, I may have only been brought as a pet by a summer family from wherever they lived and then perhaps lost my way back to them, or…
Let me just say it. I think I was ditched. Anthros do those things to us kitties, doggies, and more, without a thought for our future but when I was found, I really did have a fairly lovely coat.
Alas, also bad teeth on one side. Still…
I also had had a little “fix” but the doctor who did it did not get all of what is supposed to be gotten and so mama and papa took me again to have it done right.
I know this is not an elegant photo, but I am so happy to have this episode out of my life and move on to happier moments. It was inevitable and built character, whatever that means.
That was also the introduction of the Pink Body Suit, about which I may have to refresh your memories…
So if it doesn’t rain tonight on mama’s layer cake, which she left out on the ledge to cool and which will probably be pablum by morning or consumed by a giant gull, I shall continue my fight or flight adventure before I was saved…
That kibble was GOOD, but now what?
Thank you. Cat has found peace and has you who love it. Glad to read this
I am a very loving to cutie you can bet your boots.
Ahhhh Loulou, I am so enjoying your story. It is so sad when kitties are abandoned. I still can’t believe how cruel certain people are. Thank goodness there are also good people in the world, like your mama and papa.
What the last Anthos did may never be known but your Mama working to get you and care for you that is the new and best of all truths. We want to know about the rest so let us in on the secrets LouLou
Well, I started having thoughts right away and will share them as soon as they pop back up in my memory, haha.
Oh, Loulou, what GOOD LUCK you have had!! Karma? You must have done GOOD things in your past life. Me too. Mama says we think we missed a chapter, but the internet comes and goes, so we take what we can get!! Who would have imagined we’d be so lucky!? Whew, in any case.
I think it was I who missed the chapter, haha.
You poor kitty. You sure had a tough start. I am glad your mama rescued you. XO
Hey, I haven’t even gotten into the battles I fought to survive.
Well, one.
Hi Loulou !
I have missed a fair number of posts and feel lost.
Thought you were in Rome…
Anyway, will catch up.
You are right, the things so-called “humans” do to animals are beyond disgusting.
You were lucky though to find a good family and si were my kitties and doggies to find me.
Be happy, Loulou.
À bientôt.
I AM in Rome but still a French kitty, haha. Have missed you!
So glad you don’t have to live in a woodpile any more, Loulou. And you get such good care!
Oh, I am so lucky. Uh, THEY are lucky!
You were one of the lucky ones, Loulou.
Yes, and I am so sorry for those who are still wandering in woodpiles…
LouLou, we can’t wait for the next chapter ! For some reason I didn’t get chapter 2 until today so I saw chapters 2 & 3 at once ! It is a bit surprising that you had the woodpile all to yourself.
Well, this one was covered, thank heaven. I do NOT like rain.
