Well, am I about to speak or what? Probably or what…
I may have put this in before but someone sent me another site on how kitties speak and I can’t find the email! So am using this one.
I’m trying to find words to vent my peeves at being abandoned. Also to talk to birdies.
Evidently when I’m out checking out the birdbath and see a feathered friend and do a ke ke ke ke thing at it, it’s because I’m imitating them. Oh, yeah? Well, aloof as I may have seemed to be when THEY returned, I stealthily sneaked up on a little birdy and the rest is history.
Waiting for my prey…
Except for mama having to hose down the terrace after the slaughter. Mama is not big on me offing birdies, but hey, this was the FIRST one of my life! And a gift, at that. I’m sort of out of the bird business as I didn’t find it all that much fun…it was a very pretty little colourful thing, maybe too young to know about kitties. But as I said, finito with that. Law of the jungle and all that…
But keep that to yourselves. They say we are supposed to hunt for our health, so hunt I did. Now I’m back to being aloof while mama tends to her roses in this incredible heat, and she is trying to keep her distance and ignore the chill in the air between us and I’m trying to maintain it, haha.
Chill….
Still chilling…
Uh, oh…reconciliation. Well, chilling is no fun anyway.
I couldn’t hold out, and I made this for their welcome home lunch.
Well, the supermarket and two young Asian girls helped a bit…
And they said, “Oh, Loulou, you are so kind and so thoughtful–all of this for US?”
And I said, “Are you out of your minds? Those salmon thingies are ALL for me. Not to mention those tuna rolls.
But here we are, together, home again, home again, jiggity jig, whatever that means.
But they will think twice about leaving the NEXT time, you can bet on that.
Have a super bird free weekend!
Noodle and crew
In fact, I only ke ke ke at the doves and they are really too big to attack. But we are friends on the terrace. Ke ke ke and he says coo coo coo.
Wow, Loulou! We didn’t realize you were such a great huntress.
I am the world’s WORST huntress….I just happened to want to give mama and papa a present for their return and there he was and the rest is history. But he was SOOOOO cute….
We are sorry you killed a bird, it makes our Mommy cross. We pretty much leave birds alone because Mommy hisses at us when we try to hunt them and lots of birds attack us so we avoid them. But mice are fair game.
Oh dear! And I thought you were more into rolling over on your back and snoozing!
Oh well. You were just demonstrating you are a serious (if very pretty!) kitty girl, not some silly meatloaf!
Yes, my killer instinct surfaced suddenly, but I’ve lost it again. C’est la vie.
WELLLLL – you naughty girl! But now you have leverage now that mama and papa have seen your savage-version-Wondercat skills, they will dissuade you from this evil practice with – SUSHI!!!! You clever girl. I know that was in the back of your mind the entire time. So now you won’t have to go out by the beach and make salmon noises (glurg, glurg? I have no idea). Well done, Loulou.
OH, I LOVE THE SALMON NOISES. COULD YOU SEND MORE–WHALES, DOLPHINS….?
Oh I bet they will. I can see why your sweet (and beautiful!) Mama was upset about the birdie, would have been too. But…I DO understand where YOU are coming from as well xoxo
Yes, coming from a LOOOOOOOONNNNNG line of hunters….
Hmmm, we don’t think they will stay put too long. They like to travel. You don’t. So we figure you’ll be chilling and serving lunch again and again. Enjoy them while they’re home. 🙂
THEY HATE TO TRAVEL. It’s the FAMILY that lives elsewhere with grandkids and exwife and such… And mama and papa seems to be the chosen ones to TRAVEL. Arg…..
Well, it is good to see you and Mama communing again. That is quite a lunch, too – “real live dead shrimp” ! Hopefully the heat will abate a bit. It has here, thank Heaven !
Oh, that lunch was really far out. Nothing fishy about it!
