Yes, people really do wear these, summer and winter.
Mama says it’s weird to be in a place where Time Magazine (Ted Cruz smiling on the cover) is found on magazine tables in doctors’ offices and scattered about all over the place, reminding her and papa that they are in Republican land, even though when she was growing up, everyone was a Democrat and proud of it. How times change.
Mama says politics is leaving her numb just about now.
Que sera, sera, butt what WILL be? Both mama and papa are still so catatonic (haha) from jet-lag that things of substance are on the periphery of more immediate problems, such as “Do we have food for dinner” or “Do you remember that we have been here only a few days and it seems like months?” Things like that. But I’m sure they’ll be fine in a short while.
What they need to do is call me up and ASK ME how to handle things and I’ll bet it would all straighten out really fast. For example, I’d tell them to eat more Gulf shrimp while they have the chance, or to go out to famous Lake Austin and watch the sunset, which everyone seems to do once in a lifetime, or drop into some of the great little music places out of which come the sounds nightly of steel guitar, country wailing, or reggae drums. Or just hear it on the streets!
And there is lots more I’d advise, but of course, without ME there, none of it will be fun anyway so I guess it’s okay for them to just crash early and hope they don’t suddenly open their eyes at 4am, wide awake and ready for the day. Until collapsing at 3 in the afternoon unless they stick pins in each other to stay awake properly until dinner. If there is something to eat, that is. They don’t really use pins but you get the drift.
Hey, mama, try a little espresso for tea time, and would you please remember to call ME more often, even if you are a walking zombie, whatever that is.
I may answ, I may not. If you want to discuss Ted Cruz, I’m not answering…
Just let it ring, please. It’ll stop soon.
I am sure they miss you a lot too. I agree, don’t take the call if they want to discuss Ted Cruz.
ARRRRRGGGGGH. I don’t even say the name!!!!!!!

Well, mama took papa out for a steak (she had veggies) and it was nice, a good birthday. Mama feels so lucky that papa was born. And that’s the truth.
Aaaaaaaaw Dat’s so sweet LouLou. Some days mommy wishes she could give me a papa, and some days she says we’s better off without one. MOL We’s glad your pawrents have such a great relationship. Dat’s always a good thing.

Well, sometimes some are better without one and sometimes some are better with one.
That time difference will really confuse the human mind. Jan doesn’t need to travel. She gets confused over what day it is on the calendar.
Hey, she’s not the ONLY one. Mama and papa told me in a litter, make that letter, that they feel as if they are on the MOOON!
