Mama, what’s that wonderful SMELL (even if I can’t have any…sigh)?
Well, it’s that time again around here…coconut oil, olive oil, sweet onion, garlic, potato, leftover chicken, zucchini, tomato, coconut milk, chicken broth, a little white wine and, of course, all the spices toasted in a separate pan: cardamom, turmeric, Madras curry powder, xacuti, cinnamon, coriander, black pepper, salt…whatever all these are, haha.
Curry is, to me, something that I think might make be break out all over my pelt! Not my cuppa kibble, if you get what I mean, but I must admit that the smell of it cooking is pretty hard to resist. The curry, not the pelt.
And I am all for a little piece of mama’s chapati or naan, the breads that go with curries. She hasn’t decided which to make this time…maybe parathas, whatever they are.
Hey, I never studied Hindi…
Only Cat-a-lan, haha.

I have been wanting to post this lovely photo by my aunty Barbara in Sonoma for about two weeks now. Don’t know where the time goes…
Can you find the kitty?
The mom wants to come to your house for dinner!
OH, we would LOVE that. If you are ever in France let us know!!!
We found the kitty, we saw the eyes first. Mom thinks the curry sounds yummy.
It was yummy for THEM! I had to watch…
Peek-a-boo, I can’t see you…🙈Naan is delicious, LouLou, I can smell it to here😸Pawkisses for delicious Weekend🐾😽💞
Papa loves the lemon orange chutney and I like the naan, just a bite.
oooh we found the kitty!!! The curry recipe sounds wonderful – but my mama is so lazy she orders take-out from the Indian restaurant around the corner. Sometimes I get a little rice, but that’s about it. Yesterday I got chicken before the rest went into a spicy sauce! Well, I guess Mama knows best, huh?!
Hey, don’t chicken out! Go for it whenever it comes your way, Mya.
That sounds tasty. Yes, I see the kitty. 🙂
It smelled good, that’s for sure. And I got a bit of chicken but no spices, thank heaven.
Our Dad likes curry. Hey, auntie is a cutie!
My auntie is a really good photographer!! Thank you.
Your Auntie’s kitty is really good at sheltering in place.
Re: your catnip mention yesterday – it is supposed to be a perennial, so it should just come up…if the neighborhood kitties don’t all roll all over it and smash it (which is what happens here unless it is in a hanging basket.)
Well my usual bed does come up each year but it is not in the roses and this little nip appeared in the rose garden this year. I think that mama forgot that she had planted it herself so I would have two nip beds.
