So can you tell if this rider is Muslim or not? Of course not. He is free to be anyone, supposedly…not so, in Texas!!!

Boy, I think I’m going to advise mama to not read the news each day and just become one of those oysters who bury themselves in the sand. “It’s ostrich, Loulou, not oyster,” mama correccts me. Whatever—If Clarence Thomas can’t get into the 20th century and realize that people who are gay are born gay just as he is born black or another person white or brown, we have a serious problem with one of the United States of America. The state starts with “A”….one guess.

Then mama segued into news of Netanyahu’s upcoming speech in Washington that everyone wishes he would forget and leave at home, but mama hopes he’ll hoist himself on his own petard (isn’t that a great image?) and go ahead with the speech against Iran and possibly not be reelected in Israel. Go, Netty!

As for the news that more and more attacks are happening around the world on young women wanting to be educated, what on earth is MANKIND thinking, and I say MAN-kind since women in general do not prohibit women from improving themselves in any way. Where will any of this lead if it is allowed to continue?

FEAR, FEAR, and more FEAR—fear of women with smart minds, fear of individual sexual preferences (oh, yeah, and Clarence Thomas really has a good track record in his private life, right?), fear of other countries endangering the rights of Israel (it’s Israel, right, who gives no indication of wanting to work toward a Palestinian-Israeli agreement to live SANE lives with their neighbors?). FEAR, FEAR, FEAR. The worst four-letter word in the English language.

And in Texas (and right now, mama is not happy to be a Texan), an imam who was going to offer a blessing for the horses at a rodeo was booed off the stand and left because “this is an American event.” Did these small-minded Texans realize that Muslims settled in the United States even before rodeos? Please read the article and understand just how rich our country is and how warped it has become in some states.

So we are destined to repeat history, just as a wise man said. Or was it a woman?

This kitty can’t imagine why these guys don’t just want to kick back and, for a change, accept change and see where it leads, just for the stimulation to their brains. Stimulation? Change? Brains?  I’m not sure those words are applicable to many politicians.  Obama and Merkel excluded, since they don’t want Netty to deliver his speech either!

And if you really want to be afraid of something, look in your mirrors, politicians and bigots and racists of the world. Now that’s scary.
