Practicing my dance steps for a date…someday.
Well, papa has asked mama for a date tonight and of course she has no idea where they are going, but I will be certain to report tomorrow.
Those two are nutty for dates! I mean going on them, not the fruit. Or is it a fruit?
They used to call a certain kind of date a “whisk”, as in being whisked away to somewhere unknown and fun. Once in Los Angeles papa whisked mama away to the airport and started for the planes for London and mama cried, “OH, NO, I don’t even have a coat or anything with me” at which point he changed direction and they ended up on a short flight to San Francisco, wherever that is, and because of that really cheap flight and unusual offer from what was then TWA (whatever that is), they were able to fly around for years on a two-for-one ticket price!
Papa says that they were the reason TWA went under, haha.
So, stayed tuned for tonight’s surprise.
But I still don’t understand this whiskering away thing. Sounds like it’s something for us kitties!
I think I’ll floss, just in case I get asked…
Ohhhhhh a date night – that is so romantic, and Rome is the perfect place. Enjoy! 🙂
It WAS a great evening, mama says, but I had one, too—THEY left me alone, finally, without snuggling all day long.
Wow – mama and I are all ears!!! Your Papa has a wonderful romantic streak – a date and being whisked away. My Papa made lunch yesterday. But it was REEEEALLY good!!! Foie de veau (our twice a year meal) with garlic and raspberry sauce. Incredible! And he found all the great places (and deals!) and reserved all over Tuscany, so mama – quit whining. But can’t wait to hear about the date!!!!
WOW—-Bocuse, watch out!!!
How romantic for your mama and papa. Whisking away sounds like such fun. The excitement never ends at your house.
Well, I cause most of it, haha.
There are a lot of boy kitties that would love to take you on a date. XO
REALLY? Send ‘em over!
That’s very nice! Hey, we’ve got all kind of nutty ones around here.
I’ll bet! And here, too. At least two, haha.
Oh LouLou – what fun ! I would have been like Mama – “Whoa ! No ! What are you thinking ! I can’t leave my kitties !” So I suppose I have missed out on some fun – sounds like Mama has NOT been quite that cautious ! Brava !
Well, mama didn’t yet have ME so all was well. I was not abandoned…but they did get almost free plane tickets for years!!!
