HEY, WE WANT TO KNOW HOW THAT GUY DOES THAT? 🎶
Well, today we have a very special treat, thanks to my neighbor who comes by and tickles me under the chin every now and then. It is the singing donkey that had mama falling off her chair this morning! Mama watched this over and over again and is now trying to figure out how to teach OUR donkey-friends how to warble!
Bonne chance! But you never know when one of them is going to burst into song. Ours do some pretty amazing hee-haws, and then at the end, they sort of snuffle and sigh and you think they might actually either break into tears, or SONG!
Donkeys are amazing, that’s for sure. I go out in the garden and call to them, but I think they don’t know a kitty from a cactus, haha.
When mama took them some carrots this afternoon, they snuffled and snorted like crazy and looked at her with those soulful eyes and now I’m sort of worried that they’ll end up sleeping between her knees along with ME. ARGGGGH…
Maybe they’ll teach me how to hee-haw, haha.🎵🎵🎵
Loulou, I didn’t know you have donkeys in your yard! The Basset Hound that lives at my house looks kind of like a donkey. She’s short, has a long snout and ears, and has knobby knees. Mom and Dad calle her “Donkey” sometimes, too, after the character in the animated movie “Shrek.” Tee hee hee. It makes me giggle.
Oh, we love Basset hounds. So adorable. I am going to find her on your blog, Val. And yes he donks are across the road, not ours, but mama feeds them sometimes and loves their sweet natures. The mule is a horse of a different color, haha.
Oooooh – they are so adorable!!! And the soprano donk is incredible. Loulou, maybe if your mama played Barcelona by Montserrat Caballé and Freddie Mercury as she feeds them a carrot they would be inspired? They are Catalan donks, non? They just need a bit of inspiration.
She’s thinking of sending me to Juilliard..
Donkey serenade:
My first thought was that your neighbors had been noisily “crac crac-ing” again. Apparently not.
This singing donkey is amazing. Does he do it to charm a nearby Belle?
Aha, but I think he was charming a passerby.
Wow ! That is some singing ! That donkey should be a featured soloist in any production of “Don Quixote.”
Oh, you are too funnny. I think his name was Sancho….
