Tranquil on the terreau (dirt)
Well, it’s so quiet and still today that I simply wish to rest near my hibiscus and meditate on summer life.
Do you see me lurking on my dirt circle? And mama keeps asking, “Loulou, why do you want to hang out on DIRT when you have such nice mulch to sit on and scratch around in?
There’s no accountin’ for kitties, I tell mama. She should know that by now…
Dirt is delightful, mama, and you should come over here and stretch out next to me and enjoy it yourself! Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. It’s a perfect summer spa…
(I think mama is pretty tranquil herself today…she has a pain just under the right shoulder wing that just won’t unhitch! Any remedies for this? All she did to get it was get up from her computer chair and bammo. Wish I could sit on her back…I know that would cure it. These weird things happen when…er…one is not as young as one once was, I tell her. But she does NOT wish to hear that, duh….)
Dad says he gets lots of those hitches and stitches. Purrs help. Tell Mom the dirt is the BEST. Why I dont know but I know I like it too
Well, it’s good to have support in this!
You have the purrfect shady spot there, Loulou.
Yes, but, haha, mama wants her wild asparagus to come up and I am lying on the shoots! Hey, you can’t have everything….
Louou,I love dirt TOO!!! It seems cooler than concrete – maybethat’s why we like it! And grassy lawns in the shade – ? Ooooohweeee!!! People are just too acclimated to cushy comforts. But hereI am in bed, so guess we do have it pretty good – dirt, grass (not even mentioning your nip, teehee), air conditioned comfort. La vie est belle.
Wish you had been here for an early morn walk with mama and papa…I do NOT go out into this doggy world but then again, I never have, haha. Mama regrets that she didn’t train me on a leash.
My outdoor kitties like to find the sandy dirt on the driveway and roll in it – a dust bath I guess.
Like donkeys, haha.
Have fun in the dirt Loulou! We hope the Mom’s shoulder feels better soon.
Well, thank you, but it’s still aching, and she has hot and cold packs and ibuprofen and tylenol but doesn’t take but three a day…a little goes a long way with mama, but darn, shoulderblade pain is pits. I know myself!
