La Chiusetta near Orvieto
Several years ago, many farm-owners in Italy (and other places) turned their houses into bed and breakfast places, agriturismi, for guests and now we’re off to explore one. Most serve dinner, too, or lunch, along with breakfast (included in the price).
Oh, boy, they’re about to whiz me off to one of these farms called La Chiusetta. We’re talking pigs, lambs, chickens, ducks, what have you and I’m probably not going to rub paws with any of them anyway because…well. Do I get OUT and about in these places? No way, Jose.
But I will hear things about the sparkling swimming pool and the beautiful countryside and the delicious food from the farm’s garden—things like that.
I think.
I am NOT going in there, that’s for sure!
But since this is a first for all of us, it may be different from what we expect. Almost everything is, right? That’s why we shouldn’t worry about things in the future, because more often than not, they turn out completely different from what we have readied ourselves for and usually it’s better than we expected.
Don’t know how I got into that philosophical frame of mind, but I’m expecting NOTHING from a trip in my…er…traveling container (read: CAGE) except getting out of it at trip’s END. Still, those Beaphar drops that mama sneaked between my ears are working pretty well, so no worries, mate.
I’ll bet they don’t serve my Purina fish dinners! And mama is eyeing her bathing suit with trepidation. All of us are winter white. Well, almost all of us…
Yes, you’re only partly winter white, Loulou. Have a fun time.
So funny. I guess that’s true!!
