Well, today (tomorrow’s blog, I jumped the gun) I have selfies (sort of, at a distance) of two of our village feral kitties, one of whom I believe is related to me, the one you see with a bit of white front/tummy showing.
And little white paws! Definitely from my family…
And here, too, is the little Anne Tree, as it is named now, which was given to us by Mya’s mama long ago. Such a lovely bright memory of Mya’s amazing mama….
Well, I felt I should have a selfie here too, along with my cousin/aunt/whatever that kitty is….
Mama snapped this as I was thinking about writing my Santa list and I COMPLETELY FORGOT WHAT IT WAS I WAS WRITING!!!
These amateur photographers need lessons in tact…
I think nip was somewhere on the list….
What cute kitties, Loulou, and that one could definitely be your sibling. And what a lovely tree and reminder of Mya’s mama.
Oui, it is a lovely memory of our dear friend.
I LOVE your sweet tree. We have a tall one we keep on a stand (usually) but it’s not real. We have a lifetime’s decorations and the tree goes up in December (not like some silly people after Thanksgiving hee hee).
Remember to ask for a ‘nip ‘nanner!
Donc, I have written for a nip ‘nanner and the note disappeared, so I guess the elves are out and about. And to always have a tree is nice! Mama has ornaments from her mama, too.
I did write for one, and the letter disappeared so the elves are about, I think. How nice to have a tree all ready every year. Mama has old ornaments from her mama.
Beautiful ferals, but it breaks my heart that they don’t have a home. I like that tree, so pretty. And the photo of you is adorable. XO
Merci, Ms E, and I suppose they do have their little house but it’s so cold here.
Loving your little-light tree …
WE love it too, such a sweet memory.
The humans who take care of the community cats are just super pawesome!! And they are very well taken care of indeed!
Well, it is easier in a small community like ours. And we have a lot of extra kibble from when I ate differently.
So happy that these little ones are being looked after. And I love your tree, Loulou!
Merci, Mr E. I wish we kitties could all be together for the holidays and meet one another. But thank heaven we don’t have to TRAVEL, haha armchair traveling is best right now.
That’s a pretty little tree Loulou! It’s also a very nice little “home” for the ferals with plenty of space where people can donate a little meal or two for them. This is the first year we haven’t had a little “visitor” to our front porch which we hope means no homeless kitties in our neighborhood right now. We want everyone to have a home or at least a safe place to rest and get a meal.
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, we do, too. Our front door is down some steps so we can’t get stray kitties to visit easily….although….Mama just looked pretty cagey and I’m sure she was thinking, “Hmmmm…leave out some food at the front door?” But that’s not really helpful to them as they need their little house to be safe in and we’re not sure that it might scare them to be downstairs.
oh lou lou!!! a nip nanner!!! ask santa clawz fur a nip nanner!!!! dee mum luvz dat tree, she thinkz that she sed that to yoo last yeer. our “tree” iz jus litez too, mum will post a picture soon as she takez thingz owt and puts dem up. your feral furrendz r berry cute an looking well fed and well taken care of. say, iz your mum a cancer? she sed she wuz a moon child. dee mum studied astrology on an off fur almost 45 yeerz. now she iz studying dee tarot with itz relashun to astrology for 2 yeerz now(thot retenshun iz not wat it uzed to be). mum made roasted tomato hummus today, now dee houze smellz like roasted tomatoes(more like burnt tomatoes, eck!).
OH, wow, yes, mama is a Cancerian born on the 20th but can’t remember the time and they tore down the hospital in Dallas to build a new one. Mama always say she was born and then they removed the hospital, haha.
Mama cuts open my nanners and stuffs them with new nip. I do have three now but a bit bedraggled from being operated on, haha.
dee mum marinates my in a tupperware with yeow nip when i’m not using it
MARINATES, as in marinating meat or fishies, that kind of marinate? Or just leaving it in dry nip? Mama stuffs mine with fresh nip and sews it up again so it’s pretty potent all the time, haha. Maybe she put the wrong plant in it…haha. No, we don’t have any of THAT. The 70s are over around here.
dry nip, she putz dee nanner, dee little pink sock and the meowy wowie pillow dat she brot me back frum dee big island, all in dee tuppy with dry nip and pullz wun owt on request. maybe we shood call it a “dry rub”?
HAHA but what a great idea for the paws that refreshes, haha. Will try that with my toys…we have lots of nip!
LouLou, that is certainly a special “Anne Tree”…and the community cats appear to have a lovely place to eat and sleep. You look suitably thoughtful in your selfie. Purrs.
Donc, I do think pretty deeply every now and then, haha.
We adore folks who take care of community cats, Loulou.
Our little village is very good at that, maybe because of its size…
