Uh, mama, my wine lacks body, don’t you think?
Well, here goes:
1. I ___think papa is looking for a good computer price for his son, my uncle__ on (this)Black Friday.
2. Our Christmas Tree goes up on __ the piano, haha, because it’s small amd fits perfectly at the end__ and down on ___the 30th, the day before New Year’s, for good luck, or at least that what’s mama’s mama’s family did so we do it.
3. It’s important to __stay sane this time of year (haha bonne chance!)__and try to help those in need with food and a bit of cheer.
4. Carols and the Hallelujah chorus (even though the Messiah is an Easter piece)__ helps me/us get in the festive spirit.
Post Thanksgiving…a comfy leg.
Bodyless wine?? That is a shame…
We love the Messiah too…the whole thing!
Sometimes they have singalong, so I have an old score that my mother used when she sang that in a real choir…eons and eons ago. That score needs to be Handel-ed with TLC, it’s that old!
I love the JS Bach Christmas Oratorio…and others like it. That kind of music is so inspiring and beautiful
Oh, my mama, too, sang with a choir in school and had a solo long ago when the good singer (!) got a cold, haha. Yes, we love Bach’s Oratorio and we really have to put on some good music to get in the mood. Not easy with all the wars going on….
I really like the Christmas music by Marc-Antonie Charpentier, too…we have on some of his right now. I was fascinated by his music at the tender age of 13 or 14…some of that give nme goosebumps!
We shall look into his music and hear the baroque and gregorian and so many other avenues he traveled with his talents. Merci for the tip!!More music is GOOD.
You need some catnip wine, Loulou.
HEY, MAMA, WE HAVE LOTS OF NIP, RIGHT? Get cookin!!!
Loulou you certainly look relaxed with your Mama’s leg as your
“bed partner”…..and we agree that your glass of wine looks a tad “weak” but maybe it’s a shot of vodka instead of wine. If so, WATCH OUT! LOL
Hugs, Teddy
WOW, I never thought of that! Alas, it was plain old H2O…but I drink a lot of that because of my jabs…good for my complexion.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I hope your Papa found a computer. XO
Well, he found one but my uncle Simon did not need it or want it so it’s all taken care of…now we have to figure out what to give him from Santa!
Ah ! LouLou, “The Messiah” does include Christmas – and some of the prophecies from Isaiah ! It certainly is a magnificent piece of music – one of our favorites too ! (Without Christmas there is no Easter !)
LOVE that…and yes, without xmas, no stone to roll….MERCI, personal historian Ms Mary! Love that.
Yes, Loulou, your glass of wine was a bit…thin.
Mama hopes her won’t be like that tonight…
