YAY!!! The cleaners are here to make mama’s atelier sparkle again after the electrical pop!
Well, it didn’t really sparkle but I’m sure it will now that they are taking out all of that awful BLACK GREASY SOOT from the almost-fire.
That stuff is not what you want on your nice clean fur!!! Fortunately, it’s black and so am I so I guess it wouldn’t be too noticeable on me but if you hugged me in a white tee shirt, oh, boy.
Here is mama’s hand after having passed it over ONE piece of paper in her studio:
Now just imagine all of your paintings and all of your paints and all of your pencils and charcoal and pens and paper and drawings with a nice covering of THIS. Well, maybe the charcoal wouldn’t mind so much, but MAMA MINDS and that’s all that matters.
The good news, Loulou, she said to me yesterday, is that all of this is cleanable by capable magic men and we’ll certainly see if that’s true after two days of hard labor.
BUT, the sun is out again, my breakfast dish is filled, my pillow is comfortable and I’m spacing out for awhile. All of these guys going in and out of doors and dusting this and wiping that and moving me around no matter where I want to be is just too much for me.
In a few days, all will be back to normal, whatever that is around here. But I sort of like out of the ordinary. Just not on MY TURF. Or, my time…
This is my haven, and don’t you forget it.
No, I’m not slipping. My amazingly heavy brain full of knowledge keeps me balanced.
Go on Loulou, get out and have four delicate and dainty paw dips in the mud, and then get a runnin’ around the studio. Paw prints add authenticity to the work of any artist and are an essential part of atelier decoration hehe

PS: We hope your Mama is all relaxed and happy now the studio is cleaned up and we hope you don’t fall off the chair head first ‘cos your brain is SO hefty and full of all knowledge everywhere
May your tummy be as full as your brain!
Thank you, Mungo. I tried to find some mud but couldn’t and so I just upended mama’s ink pot and stepped in the wet….
haha, just kidding.
Yes, all is better. Now to clean the paintings…the lady restoring person says one month!! WOW. I guess I’ll have to pick up a brush…
Ah, yes, that heavy brain of knowledge does make for a nice nap. Hope your mom’s studio is soon spotless. 🙂
Man, those guys came in here and polished up the studio in two days and it looks brand new! They wouldn’t let me walk in there, though, because of paw prints everywhere, but I watched from the door, as a good kitty should.
