Our friend through blogging, Ms McNeil, sent words of comfort to us this morning from a song mama sang as a child. So lovely.
Mama wants to say that certainly one does not have to be religious to have beautiful songs part of one’s life, and both mama and papa have their own beliefs about being here or not being here…but this song and its message will be known and felt by so many, perhaps in a different way, but felt, nonetheless.

Now I want to tell you about pasquetta, the little Easter, a joyful holiday in Italy on which families celebrate and in which food plays a big part! No surprise in Italy, eh?
I guess our spark for today is join hands and celebrate friendship and family.
A long week end is good for everyone, right?
Here in France, you do NOT want a fish pinned to your back…it is April Fool’s day and that’s what one does for fun.
I just wanted some fish on my dish!
Thank you, friends around the world, I join virtual hands with you all.
This image was on a wonderful personal essay about poisson d’avril.
I agree! Fish belongs in your dish…not on your back!
HEAR, HEAR, Ernie. We do always agree on so many things.
Friends, food and fun – those are all things I can get behind. Big love to your mama and papa on this long weekend. What a cute bunny photo of sweet Loulou.
Yes, maybe in that order for sure. Merci for your love.
You certainly made a cute bunny for Easter Loulou! My Mom says she remembers that beautiful song…..from church and Sunday School when she was little girl, it’s a touching song.
Hugs, Teddy
It really is moving, isn’t it. And I am in the garden now, all happy and making things grow.
Wow, that is very different than what we do here!! Kind of cute really. I have never seen a chocolate fish here.
THat sure was a funny story, I almost thought it was your Mama telling that, LOL, LOL!
Happy Belated Anniversary! Happy Easter Monday, too!! That is British/Canadian. (We learned it was called Second Easter from my parents…)
Wait a minute…there was a …afer chocolate. You have never seen a chocolate WHAT?
May all your fish be in front of you!
HAHA, that’s a good wish! We didn’t see ANY yesterday…I hope the day keeps happening…
I hope your Mama and Papa had a nice Easter, firsts are difficult. Hugs.

Merry Fish-Mess to you LouLou !
HAHA maybe we should decorate a tree with fishies.
