Oh, boy, mama did a TERRIBLE job of dolling me up for pasquetta, today’s “little Easter” in Italy.

Our friend through blogging, Ms McNeil, sent words of comfort to us this morning from a song mama sang as a child. So lovely.

Mama wants to say that certainly one does not have to be religious to have beautiful songs part of one’s life, and both mama and papa have their own beliefs about being here or not being here…but this song and its message will be known and felt by so many, perhaps in a different way, but felt, nonetheless.

Now I want to tell you about pasquetta, the little Easter, a joyful holiday in Italy on which families celebrate and in which food plays a big part! No surprise in Italy, eh?

I guess our spark for today is join hands and celebrate friendship and family.

A long week end is good for everyone, right?

Here in France, you do NOT want a fish pinned to your back…it is April Fool’s day and that’s what one does for fun.

I just wanted some fish on my dish!

Thank you, friends around the world, I join virtual hands with you all.
