Well, I am so, so hot that all I can do is lie on the patio (in the shade, duh) until mama deigns to come out and try to get me in out of the heat. Today was a bit different because I came in on my own (see above) and spaced out in my chair in the cool living room.
But whoa, this heat is intense! What’s mama doing—looks as if she is trying to fry and egg on the patio! The very same one where I recline! Echhhhh…that’s all I need right now is to roll in fried egg. Argggggh.
Just kidding. Mama was funnin’with me.
I think she’s eating that egg on some toast instead.
But, hey, is it hot in your part of the world? Pretty close to 100 here today.
Whatever that means, but I know it means sizzling. Even my whiskers are drooping.
It’s hot and humid here, Loulou. Thank cod we have air conditioning. Hopefully, it will be cooler tomorrow.
Yes, the “clime” as they call it here. Pretty soon they’ll be calling me Kit or Lou.
Close to 100 degrees here in Philadelphia today Loulou – second HOT wave this summer but happily we do have air conditioning – it is so very dangerous in this heat without it. I remember when I was a child we had the windows open and fans going in every one. Hard on our furry ones too. Jane lays on the bed with her head right in front of the air.
Jane is a smart cookie, that’s for sure! You had better get on the bed with her!
Loulou, just call me shake and bake – papa drags me ut to the HOT sidewalk to do my thing. If they would just air-condition the outside like when they turned it on last week, everything would be fine. But noooo – I totally relate to your drawing. BUT we went to see our neighbors last night and they have a big patio and there was a BREEZE!! Maybe cooler weather is coming. AND I have a young “boyfriend”!! The neighbors have a half (something fluffy, I forgot) and half yorkie and we had FUN!! So Vive l’Amour – a sizzling evening!!!
Oh, Mya, I am so glad for your amour…that last one around here was hissed at so badly he took off like a bat outta hell, whatever that is.
LOL – fun Loulou drawing!! I felt the same way yesterday, but last night there was a nice breeze and we got out and enjoyed it!! Today – who knows!! Hey, could be worse – we could be in Madrid!! At times like this I thank my peeps for my poussette!!! Those sidewalks are HOT!
Tell your maman to take her eggs out there and do a scramble!
That sure is hot, and I thought it was bad here at 88 degrees.
Well, mama is from Texas and along with 100 degrees there was humidity! Yikes.
Stay cool, Loulou, as best you can. Your poor mama and papa, if they aren’t used to those temps. We had a “break” with so much rain for a while, it was a bit more bearable but August returned today. Marcus is begging Jan for a walk. Let’s hope they return without wilting.
Well, I sympathize with all of you especially since we all have to wear FUR COATS!
Another great drawing, LouLou. It is to be near 90 here for the next few days, but I believe your part of the world is to be even hotter. The news the other day mentioned parts of Spain & Portugal and said even though they are warm countries, they are not prepared for THIS. Their houses are built to remain cool (like the Spaniards did in the American Southwest) but many don’t have air conditioning.
We have a great air-conditioning system but the electricity went out last night and threw everybody into chaos. But yes no one is used to these temperatures.
