HEY, she’s dressed like ME!
Well, mama’s “sister” in Sonoma (that’s cool, no? Sister in Sonoma, shoo fly shoo, haha) sent her this website that is really fascinating! At least to me. Not that I was going to call my pet pig Napoleon, but…well…you’ll see.
And you know that you would not be ordering those delicious deep-fried potato sticks with hamburgers and everything else if it were not for the French. Mama thought it was so funny when she first came to France long ago (also when she was a bit more naïve than she is now, sort of), she looked around and said, ‘Wow, everyone is eating fried potatoes. I thought they were considered junk food!” Duh…FRENCH fried potatoes? Duh.
French fries, maison (home made)
So if you’ll take a look at the 37 strange and sobering facts about the French, you’ll have some fun. It’s nice to know about other countries and this list is a very good one. Mama didn’t know half the things it talks about. I’ll bet there are lists like this for every country. It would be interesting to see the USA list, too. I think I’ll go visit my Google and see what I can find.
Meanwhile, mama filled my nip toy this morning and I’ll give you one guess where I am…
Aaaaaaaaaw You look so cute LouLou. But mommy learned in her history class, a long long time ago, dat da French didn’t actually have anythin’ to do with creating da french fry. MOL But it is fun to learn new things ’bout other countries. Google does has some value after all. MOL
Luv ya’

You are absolutely right. It was Belgium, but hey, they ended up with French in their name. I understand that the best fries in the world are in Belgium!!! Wish we could taste them.http://wonderopolis.org/wonder/belgian-fries/
On this website you will find out about fries but you already know!!! The French and the Belgians are still arguing over who did it. Silly!
WOW, Loulou – I had no idea about all this stuff. Vive la France!!! Well, except for all that nuclear power – EEK!! And I should have known by the way you bouffe those kibbles you had Pig in the family!!! Maybe I do too since everybody asks mama what breed I am – and she’s always hiding the food and calls “Hoover, bouffe” when she drops something!! Bisous – Mya
Oh, Mya, you always have your cute little doggy figure. Wiggling, wiggling, wiggling….just like a little piggy! Thank you for visiting. Always.
That was interesting. I have never been there so I didn’t know that they are not required to give change- good to know. You look cute all nipped up.
Well, it WAS true but mama’s grocery store near us said that that was an outmoded law and that NO one obeys it nowadays or we would all be broke!
haha, Loulou. You must have had a good time in the nip.
Jan loves homemade French fries. Fried in just a little olive oil. Uh-oh, guess what she wants for dinner now?
Yeah, well you guys are enough of a cooking team to peel the spuds! Actually, mama (and I) like them unpeeled. And we LOVE sweet potato fries. They are the BEST.
