Before our fill-ins, we want to pay tribute to the great
Edson Arantes do Nascimento known always as Pelé.
Muito obrigado, Pelé! You will be missed by the world.
Thank you for all you have given us. GOOOOAAAL!

Now to fill-ins. Mama took over today but I do have my opinions….
1. Thoughtfulness (Vitamin B12 and Cosequin and Mirataz for diabetic kitties)__ is (are) my focus word(s) for 2023.
2. 2022 was __an experience that we had had never had before, that’s for SURE (ditto)
3. Be patient and live in the present as much as one is able__ is the most important lesson I learned over the past year (especially that “patient” part when dinnertime rolled around!)
4. I hope 2023 is the year that __we can all be social human beings again minus the virus floating around everywhere (and that kitties and animals everywhere find forever homes and that the war in Ukraine is OVER and Putain GONE!)
⚽️⚽️⚽️
And very good news, taken from today’s Heather Cox Richardson newsletter:
The $1.7 trillion measure addresses key goals of both parties. It funds the military and domestic programs. It funds public health and science, invests in law enforcement, and funds programs to prevent violence against women. It funds veterans’ services, and it provides assistance to Ukraine in its struggle to protect itself against Russia’s invasion. It updates the Electoral Count Act to prevent a president from trying to overturn a presidential election, as former president Trump did.
Biden said, “This bill is further proof that Republicans and Democrats can come together to deliver for the American people, and I’m looking forward to continued bipartisan progress in the year ahead.”
(Mama’s bold)
Loulou you look like quite the soccer star yourself but nobody and we mean nobody was or is as great as Pele. My Mom and Dad aren’t big soccer followers but who doesn’t know Pele?! Anyway, we like that you and your Mama filled in the blanks together like me and my Mom often do. We do hope the new year is spectacular and happy and most of all HEALTHY and PEACEFUL for everyone. We wish you all a TRULY Happy New Year!
Love and Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
Yes, he was a miracle of greatness.
Those were good answers Loulou and your soccer ball is pretty nice, Pele would have approved.
Merci, Mr B and yes, we love to play soccer. Mama is the worst and always wants to go up to little kids in the street and start kicking their ball, haha. Sometimes they have fun but mostly probably think she’s bananas at her age…
Sad about Pele. Thank you for participating in the fil-ins, great answers. Cats are great at living in the moment- we should learn from them. XO
YES, live in the moment and savor all of them, happy and sad, but that’s hard to do….
What s lovely post LouLou and Mama ! Yes, even we knew Pele – how much he did too help the rise of soccer in the US – what a wonderful life he lived !
He was a spectacular player. He is in a movie we have not seen with Michael Caine and other famous actors. Haven’t looked it up yet but think it’s a war movie…60s.
We were not raised to watch soccer, but we all knew Pele’.
My nieces and nephews played soccer as kids, and their children are playing too.
Our local women’s shelter also takes pets, which we think is DA BOMB, and we donate to them.
Also, our state has made laws that animals are no longer property, and therefore must be treated humanely in the case of divorce or family conflict.
What a wonderful neighborhood you live in! And how good, good of you to help! Maybe things are looking up a bit around the world…animals as property is so far off the mark that your state is very perceptive to change that view!!!
