HAIL, SANTA! Got any mail from France lately?
Well, we are trying to find the name of the film…ah, ha
found it:
found it:
1. My favorite holiday film is _It’s A Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart, but not everyone’s cup of tea…
2. My favorite Christmas song is Oh, Come, Oh, Come Emmanuel and mama loves it, too for its minor chords. But Good King Wincesles competes! Oh, if we were all good kings like him. This lovely song always makes mama teary…
3. If you ask me, ’tis the season for _smoked salmon tidbits and egg nog (no booze for me, haha).
4. Well, mama’s mama died at Christmas long ago so we remember that but also carolers, also long ago, alas_ is/are holiday memory/memories I’ll/we’ll never forget.
(Furry, but out of focus, that’s mama’s motto…)
You had me at smoked salmon tidbits, Loulou. ~Ernie
Yes, well, I know for a fact there is some in the fridge because I SAW it, even though mama tried to hide it, haha. Just kidding…I’ll get a little taste around the 25th.
Sad time for your Mom but the happiness of Christmas with YOU and with your Papa probably helps her get through that sadness to enjoy the season of Christmas. We’d love to hear your Mama’s story of the dream she had after her Mama died…….Give her a hug from us will you Loulou?
Love, Teddy
Yes, and I’ll imagine one…sigh…from gorgeous Teddy. Love that kitty, and his FAMMILY!
Mamma and Pop are addicted to Selfridge’s! They watch it every afternoon! Both of my parents died in December but not on Christmas. That must be sad. One after the other – the same year. BUT – we’re still here! Gotta enjoy life while we can, Loulou!
Oh, how sad, Mya. Yes, to lose someone at holidays is difficult.
That’s sad about your Mom’s Mom but the other answers were good ones Loulou.
Thank you, Mr B. Love these things now that we have discovered that we can fill in — DUH.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except I am so sorry that your mama lost her mama. Nice movie and song choices.
I used your mama’s cookbook today and made some bread to go with our beef stew at supper. XO
WOW—you are too much, Ms Ellen. Mama will be THRILED. And if you ever have questions, we…er…mama is here.
We like salmon and eggnog too LouLou – though maybe not together.
We love the Christmas songs like “Good King W” that tell a story …We Three Kings is another one…
Our huMom’s Mama died on New Year’s Eve day, so Christmas was spent in the hospital, so we know your Mama’s mixed feelings about the holidays,
Purrs.
Oh, that is so very sad. And a new year beginning with something like that. So sorry. But so glad you love story songs, too!
Loulou, we lost our grandfather on Thanksgiving Day, when he and my grandmother came into town to visit.
When my grandmother died years later, I saw the image of my grandfather when I woke up that morning, like he’d come to tell me that he was there to escort his wife to Heaven.
The holidays have many memories.
Hugs to your humom during this holiday season.
Oh, I believe in such things. I shall have to ask mama to write about her dream of her mama after she died.
