Kindness, caring, thoughtfulness, empathy, so many words that one cannot associate with some candidates.
Okay, I am putting in another link to an article today that I really feel is important and must be read by everyone. You can agree, disagree, whatever you wish to do, but when something is this meaningful to me, I just have to link to it. I really wonder about what this man does to animals in his house, if there are any. If any would stay! If he treated me the way he treats so many others, he’d see me headed way down another road to a kinder, more loving and caring family! Where on earth are decency and integrity and elegance and education and articulation and plain old good sense in this outlandish anthro?
Read the article. Please. I think it will touch many feelings in your own hearts about what makes a good president of our beautiful and courageous country.
I’m off to read up on why our country has gone so astray. Is there no one out there who realizes that Mr. Obama’s hands were TIED when it comes to making America better–education, women’s rights, health care, infrastructure improvements, ALL inhibited by the Congress of the USA whenever possible. The Republicans never worked together with the Democrats. Perhaps a two-party system is not the answer. When men and women in different political parties can work together in government FOR THE PEOPLE instead of thinking only of self-serving solutions, then we will have a United States again. When will we learn?
WHEN?
Let’s face the facts, Loulou…most presidents, if they are of the opposite party of the majority of Congress, can’t get anything done. They just don’t want to work together.
Work together???? Do they even know the phrase?
It’s become all about power Loulou, not about working together and not about what is good for the country and its people like you and me and I feel sad to say that during President Obama’s first term when the democratic members of congress could have helped him they were instead arguing with each other instead. Somehow we have to elect someone who can look at all of our issues and needs and a congress who will work with the president to make progress on the important issues that face us. Thank you for bringing this issue up Loulou. I read the article over the week-end and found it thoughtful and important.
Oh, I am so glad to hear that and so glad when the articles can be of help to open our eyes. You are right on ALL counts and clearly someone who THINKS. Wish there were more of you.
Loulou, your photo and that expression on our face shows how aghast you are after listening to Mr. Trump. My mom is consoling herself with the belief that if he is nominated, he cannot win no matter who the democratic party nominates. She told dad that if he becomes our president, she’s moving to Switzerland. She never thought his bullying and buffoonery would get him this far. We keep praying that those who are supporting him, will come to their senses. We share your disbelief and sorrow that our great United States has come to this. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Well, I do not wish you to have to change your lifestyle, but if you DO move to Switzerland. you’ll be closer to ME!!!! YAY. New friends. And yes, you are clearly as stunned as we are about this travesty.
Have a good rest tonight, Loulou. You are becoming a deep thinker.
Yeah, but how deep can I go…..oh, boy.
Thank you for sharing the article. I don’t need to be convinced of Trump being wrong for the job, but it was still interesting to read how often he lies in his speeches.
Isn’t it amazing that so many in the US do not KNOW THIS or at least do not wish to see it?
Oh LouLou…Obama’s hands weren’t tied, he made himself a king in a country dat is posed to be run by da people dur da people. But afur we go off on a pawlitical rant we’s will hush and just say, you look just gawjus today.
Luv ya’

Best not to talk politics when some differ. Everyone is entitled to his opinion, that’s for sure. But if you look at the many bills he tried to pass and was STOPPED by the Congress (it’s all there in black and white), you will see the barriers he faced. It is documented for the public to see.
