A wall of night-blooming jasmine…mmmmmm; good smells.
Sweet Love, bloomin’ away. More good smells.
Well, today it’s photoshoot time for gardens. The weather is right, the month is right, and maybe you will be inspired to “plant a cabbage, get a cabbage, not a Brussel sprout”, haha.
Although it’s not time to plant cabbage, mama says. Get out the basil, lettuce, radish, chive, coriander and parsley seeds and let ‘er rip.
Turn over the soil well (…er, I could come over and help with that) and put in some blood and bone meal or, barring that, just douse the soil with a good fish emulsion stirred into a big watering can, and then plant away.
We can’t find my drugs here already growing so mama has planted some catnip for me but when I see how little it is, I can’t imagine that it will be a nice soft bed to roll around in after a month or so. I think she mistook the basil seeds for catnip seeds and I really do not like rolling in basil but you never know. In that case, maybe I’ll just make a pesto of myself, HAHA.
Boogies, as papa calls them.
I’m just sittin’ here smelling the other wall of jasmine. Those reed pole in front of me are going to hold up the tomatoes…if they ever grow!!
Sage and nasturtiums getting along nicely.
A small space for lots of blooms.
But one thing we have ALOT of is arugula!!!
Wow, your flowers are beautiful. We can almost smell the jasmine.
Those flowers are REALLY strong but it’s a nice smell. Mama says some jasmine smells like a train station bathroom disinfectant but this jasmine is sweet.
Such a pretty garden, your Mama has talent. We only have baby rose buds as yet, it’s chilly here still brrr!
May summer bring you a whole lawn made of catnip Loulou, you deserve it.

Mungo & jet
Well thank you from mama, but she’s sort of sad that all she has to eat is arugula, and more arugula, and then some arugula, too. But tomatoes will come. We hope. Thank you for the good wishes for my “grass”, haha.
Is that your garden? Lovely, lovely, lovely flowers. Jan is jealous. Living greens see her black thumb and commit suicide so they don’t have to suffer.
Jan CAN grow things if she will find a STRAW supple. NOT HAY because hay has seeds of bad plants, weeds, etc. but straw like the straw that chickens lay eggs in.
If I could I’d have a ton of straw delivered to your yard in a few months, you’d have nice soft soil to grow in. How about starting with a pot and some potting soil? Basil seeds would do it.
How funny. Jan got a bale of straw for the grass seed in the dog pen. Must be why we have sprouts. Too bad Jan didn’t know it would soften the soil BEFORE she half killed herself digging it up.
Well, there shouldn’t be sprouts in straw…only in HAY. In this case, do NOT make hay while the sun shines, haha.
